Larry and Lisa provide great peaceful place, from where we can travel in the whole region. Larry gave us great recommendations about hiking in the region, which we followed. Very convenient to go to Hallstatt by boat, yet not crowded i the peaceful at the place of stay. Definitely recommend.

Obertraun is a very nice location close to Hallstatt if you like peace and quiet. The property was very clean and Larry and Lisa were wonderful.

Haus Hepi is a short walk from the train station, a lovely walk to Hallstadt, and a good place to walk, wander, and hike. The room was perfect, the bed was comfortable, and we had our own balcony. The hosts also provide two comfortable sitting rooms for guests to use and some snacks and beverages for a minimal purchase. They have thought of everything! The breakfast was simple yet perfect. We would highly recommend staying here in Obertraun.

This has been the best place I’ve ever stayed. The house is incredibly cozy, full of beautiful details, spotlessly clean, and the view is simply breathtaking. Larry and Lisa are the kindest hosts — their warmth and care truly make you feel at home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, made with love and served with joy. You can feel the heart and soul they’ve poured into this place, and the genuine love they share with their guests. Obertraun is the perfect spot to experience an authentic Austrian village — peaceful, picturesque, and full of charm. Don’t hesitate — stay here. I’m already dreaming of the day I’ll return.

Absolutely perfect stay! We had an amazing time in this beautiful guesthouse run by the loveliest English couple. The location is peaceful, surrounded by stunning mountain views, yet close to many local attractions. The place was exceptionally clean, quiet, and cozy – we felt completely at home. I drove to reach the hotel, but no sign it is. I asked their neighbors to know they are further inside from the road. Not a big problem anyway.

The owner was very helpful and willing to tell me about the nearby attractions. Nice room with balcony. Good view of snowy mountains.

Amazing accommodation with amazing hosts. Everything was carefully thought out. We loved that there was a lounge area with a beautiful view and somewhere to go and make a hot drink. It was stylish but homely whilst still having a sense of where you were.

Larry and Lisa are wonderful hosts—kind, friendly, helpful, and cheerful. The house is spotlessly clean, and shoes must be taken off at the entrance. Upstairs, there is a lounge where you can chat or play board games. The village is quiet and clean, with plenty of opportunities for hiking and sports in the area. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. We had a great time, and if we travel to this area again, we would love to stay here.

Lovely B&B. Room had views of the valley, mountains and lake. Facilities and social spaces were great. Lots of variety for breakfast, perfect for a long day hiking, snowshoeing or skiing, all very accessible from the accommodations location. Hosts have lots of local information if needed. Would love to come back and stay here again!
