First the host is one the sweetest I’ve ever hosts I ever met. Not only did she make sure we had everything we needed but she gave us input about the area to have a good time! The apartment was a perfect size for me and 3 of my siblings. It was full equipped with all necessities and more. The location is absolutely perfect!

The bedroom has not ventilation except the roof window which we could not open due to the rains. But they have renovations plans in the near future.

The view from the balcony is to die for ❤️. The host is very sweet and helped us with tips and tricks to go around in the area. We loved the stay

This is just a beautiful hotel. We had a room with a terrace, the view was just amazing. Everything was clean and tidy, very cozy room, there was tea and coffee) . Nina is very nice, she completely explained what we could visit, how we could get to different locations. It was very nice to chat😍✨️🥰🏞 it was a wonderful experience, and in a beautiful place 😘Thank you 😊

We stayed in Obertruan for 3N in late June 2025 as we read that it was still pretty, but quieter and cheaper than Hallstatt. It was an excellent choice indeed! We enjoyed our stay very much at Haus Edelweiss, an apartment with a separate bedroom that was 35 sq.mtrs, very comfortable size for 3. We walked easily from the train station to the apartment. It has a toilet with 3-in-1 shampoo/body/hand liquid gel, a fridge, electric stove, utensils, pots/pans. It has everything you need, everything is new and very clean, totally no dust! Love the coffee capsules and variety of teas provided. Host Nina is very sweet & helpful, taking the time to explain with a map where and how we could go to the places around Obertruan. We spent one day walking from Obertruan to Hallstatt. Along the way, we saw this stone path going up the hill and we went up (very do-able hike), and it led to a very beautiful view of Hallstatt! We then went down the other way and continued walking towards Hallstatt, explored the beautiful village and took the ferry (Euro 12/pax) back to Obertruan. Next day, we walked a loop from Obertruan to Koppenwinlsee. The walk was very lovely and we saw tiny red strawberries everywhere! There was a restaurant after Koppenwinslee but I think it was closed on Mon-Wed (please check), and other days open for lunch & dinner, so time yourself to make it in time for lunch/dinner. We were stopping so often to admire the scenery that we missed their lunch time! It is better to visit during non-summer to enjoy Austria. Also, many of the reasonably priced apartments do not have air-con including Haus Edelweiss, and those we stayed in Innsbruck & Zell Am See. At night the temperature will plunge so it is fine without an aircon, but you might get occasional traffic noise if the apartment is close to the road, so just bring along your ear plugs.

Room are like new Flat, kitchen, wardrobes utensils, kitchen items are new, flat is super clean and vibrant, comforatable and spacious for family or group, from both rooms there is big common balcony, mountain view is excellent even from both the beds. Happy to visit next time, best flat around the area 544 bus, stop is 2 mins walk and next stop in 4 mins you are in hallstat, within in a min you can reach supermarket and nearby information center.

The location and the view were excellent. Just 10-15 away from Hallstat by bus. 5 mins walking from the Obertraun train station. Also its pet friendly.

The host is very friendly and helped us plan our route to Hallstatt. Even though we stayed only for 1 night, we enjoyed our stay very much. The room is a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchenette was sufficient to cook a simple meal. I like the location which is near to a supermarket, a bakery and the train station.

The room is very quiet. I was a bit concerned about the train going nearby, but not a bit of noise was heard. The location is perfect, in my opinion it is better than in Hallstatt. The host was nice and helpfull. I would visit again.

Nina was a friendly, welcoming host. The property is in an excellent location for exploring the surrounding area; 5 minute drive to gondola up the mountain and a 30 minute boat crossing over to Hallstatt. Comfortable, well equipped apartment.

Wifi was very slow and for some reason it didn't work at night. Would've been nice if there was a bar fridge in the room.

A very good location, 5 minutes walk from the train station and 3 mins from the bus station. Nice view from the balcony and a very quiet room. The room had an espresso machine with capsules, cream and tea bags. The bakery and the supermarket are just two minutes walk. Nina was a great host and gave us all the information we needed.

Bed is not much comfortable but it can be managed.Better to have a good one. There is no shower gel or shampoo. Better to include those as well

The owner of the apartment is a very good and kind person. The apartment is very clean and easy to access. Comfortable wise, this apartment is not too good but it is acceptable. If the owner can include showering items ( showergels and shampoo) that would be good. Overall I can recommend this place

Great location with lovely mountain views. Spacious apartment with every thing you need. Supermarket close by and train station a short walk. Hallstätter See is also a short walk from the apartment. Nina was a lovely host and very helpful. I would love to stay here again.

The best room we had in our 10 day Austrian and Italian trip. Spacious, super clean, lovely furniture. Huge bathroom. Awesome view with good size balcony. Perfect to stay if you want to discover Hallstatt. The owner was super friendly and explained everything in detail. Definitely recommended.
