How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The rooms are big but poor ventilation. The curtains are so thick that they don't let in any air. There should be fans or air-conditioning. The sauna area was open for very limited hours and the steam/turkish sauna was not working. There were 4 fitness equipment, with only 2 working.
The breakfast was pretty decent. The restaurant was really good with good beer and food and nice staff. It's a very kids friendly hotel, with spacious room, garden and dining area.

We had a few challenges with dinner & service around the dinner. Namely there was a fly fried into the schnitzel! They brought a replacement meal and that was ok. Overall the food for dinner was not great.
Clean and conveniently located for an overnight in Austria on our road trip from Germany to Italy . Restaurant in hotel and a good breakfast

The restaurant was not all that. Slow on service, though friendly. Desert took 40 minutes to arrive, and then was not what we ordered…. For lunch I had a Wurstsalat, which was far too acidic (and I generally like it quite acidic).
Very good room, excellent bed.

Breakfast - not lot of options to choose from, coffee felt bit weak. Not many warm options. Personally dont reccomend it - everything else was perfect tho.
Room was perfect, very large with good views, bed was cosy. Lots of storage space. And pretty balcony. Lech is in small walking distance.

Close to a slightly noisy street, so leaving windows open at night is difficult.
Large room, well appointed to fit a cot. Great food at the restaurant and good breakfast.

Unfortunately there was no charging options close by so I had to leave empty next morning to start with a quick charge, not ideal and costed extra travel time

Carring about the comfort of their customers. Very efficient for evening meal booking and breakfast seating. Many thanks for the upgrade to the bedroom suite.

Breakfast service was average
Wonderful restaurant manager that took very good care of us. Excellent food and local Austrian wines. Very accommodating as we were a group of 8. We would come back anytime.

I accidentally left an item and asked it be shipped back. They up charged a 17 Euro ship cost to 30 Euro as a service charge to ship it. I agreed and paid the 30 Euro then wrote a review stating I was surprised by the additional fee instead of just shipping a left item as a courtesy. The email I got back was my item was to be held hostage until I improved my hotel review rating. The original rating was a 4 out of 10, agreed a bit harsh given the frustration (I have corrected now). I'm disappointed on how this was handled by the hotel manager. Holding the item hostage to a better rating is inappropriate. I told them to keep the left item and cancel the shipping payment. I still recommend you consider staying, it is a good hotel. I'm simply capturing an experience that didn't meet my expectations for what I would expect of good customer service in handling this situation.
It was a good location. The hotel restaurant soup and meat dishes are really good. Room was simple, but a modern and large shower is nice.

We had a double bed and one of us slept on the couch during the whole stay. Also, part of the personnel needed to warm up in the mornings.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work very well and there was no air con in the rooms or fans and it was really warm.
The location was great with lovely views and the food at the restaurant was really good.
