AustraliaAs mentioned above, the cost of breakfast was not included in the original cost of the apartment. Breakfast however could be purchased at a cost of €18.00 (AU$32). We thought this was too expensive for a breakfast, although it did include some cooked items.
This hotel is extremely well located in Radstadt, just a minute's walk into the centre of the Old Town. We were three adult males travelling by bike and the hotel was able to provide us with secure overnight storage for the bikes, which was of great benefit to us. We booked an apartment for one night. The apartment was very spacious and totally suited our needs. We arrived at the hotel three hours prior to the alotted check in time. I sent the owner a message via WhatsApp and he attended the front door immediately and checked us in. After a number of hours cycling (over Obertauern Pass), this was very much appreciated as it allowed us to park the bikes and get showered etc before looking around the town. The cost of the apartment was reasonable and certainly compared well with other nearby accommodation houses. Breakfast however was not included. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel.

LatviaThis is just a recommendation list for the owners to improve their already great place: 1) WiFi system must be upgraded. Now, every guest has at least 2 devices to connect like phone and tablet, so there may be 4-6 connection points per room. The current WiFi is unstable and it would be great to install several signal repeaters to let the guests really feel like home and even be able to watch some videos. Very critical feature for the kids. 2) For such a nice installation of having a fridge, a kettle or coffee machine in the room would gain additional stars for the hotel. Especially for longer stays, water heating would be helpful without much investment. 3) Skip the daily room service and save labor on this function, especially if it is so early in the morning.
Der Torwirt is the best location in Radstadt and a very solid value for money proposal. For the same price, the nearby Altenmarkt would only offer tiny rooms in old buildings or family B&B. The hotel is in the top location with the local bus stop across the street, as well as ski bus stop. The train station is 10 minutes walk downhill. There has been a very good quality renovation done in the building, the rooms are spacious and clean. Once you exit the hotel, there is a walking street with shops. The staff are very welcoming and always there - no worries for any questions or requests. Rooms are also very quiet. Well operated hotel indeed.
