Nicely located place - in the middle of lovely town. They have very good restaurant with good wine and meals (and ice cream), that is open till the evening hours. Rooms are basic but clean and with everything, what you need. Staff very nice and helpful. Space to store bikes for cyclists. Store nearby.

I only stayed one night. I was aware of the less-than-positive reviews and many comments from other travelers, particularly regarding the bathroom and beds. The bathroom really needs a complete overhaul; it shouldn't be offered to travelers in its current condition. The toilet was unusable; it was so small and so close to the wall that it was impossible to sit down. Fortunately, new toilets are now available on the ground floor for restaurant guests, and you can use them. Furthermore, the bed was so short (and I'm not exactly tall, just under 180 cm) that it was difficult to sleep on. I tried diagonally, but it didn't help much.

The overall atmosphere was positive, the guesthouse staff were friendly, and the breakfast was quite tasty, though the selection was limited. Coffee or tea was available with breakfast. Very close to the train station.

As the place is right at the main square of the town, there may be an event or concert during the stay, making the outside to be quite loud. With closed doors/windows, the noise was tolerable, though this is subjective.

Our room overlooked the square and restaurant and it was noisy It was a Saturday night and people stayed up making alot of noise and throwing up at 1 am I realize this isn’t the fault of the hotel but it was not a good sleep

They didn't speak any English at all so it was not easy to communicate. It was not possible to pay with card so we had to go get some cash out of the ATM. The beds and pillows weren't very comfy, but everything was clean.

The breakfast was excellent with a lot of local products. We stayed here one night on our trip home from Slovenia. The location was very easy to access and it was nice that we were able to eat in their restaurant.

Unfortunately, our room was on the ground floor, facing directly into the internal courtyard and the staff rest area with old cigarettes and other rubbish. We had no window to open and didn't feel able to open our door onto such a public space! So we had an unnecessarily hot and airless night.

The family is very cheerful and friendly. It's special staying in a place with such a strong family history. The location of the outdoor restaurant/bar in a corner of the village square is really nice.

The Guesthouse is located in the centre of a little charming town on the main little square. The ambient is very pleasant with the castle on the hill just above the square. The Guesthouse is huge and old with that lovely tipical Austrian charm. The room was cosy, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom modern and clean. The breakfast was tasty.

No one to greet us when we arrived. Very dark entrance. Breakfast was put on the table then no one in sight to ask anything. On.the 2nd day no water in the coffee machine. We ended up going to the cafe next door for coffee, their was no one yo ask at the hotel to fill.it up! The website said that bar and restaurant was open Tuesday to Sunday. This was not true. Only opened for a short time. If we hadn't of had family living close by, we would gave starved as nowhere to go for food.

Very poor internet. So poor that I couldn't even download text messages in messengers (WhattsUp, Viber, Telegram). In 100 meters from the hotel on the town square there is a wi-fi zone - the connection there is quite good. There are practically no electrical sockets in the room. There is one in the bathroom on the mirror (there is nowhere to even put a phone to charge there), and also one in a very inconvenient place (20 cm from the pillow). There were two of us. Each has a phone, watch, iPad. How can we charge all the gadgets? And considering that gadgets are constantly trying to “catch” the Internet connection, the batteries drain much faster
