The shower was a little difficult to manage. A very large step up and down into the tub. Did not find the pillows comfortable on the bed.

Everything was perfect, from the kind staff that accommodated us with a late check in, to the room comfort and cleanliness. We rested very well in the fluffy bed, and in the morning we woke up to a beautiful mountain sight. There was also free parking with plenty of space, even though it was narrow to enter. Location is good, very close to Hallstatt in walking distance and quiet area in general. Definitely one of the best places to overnight!

Shower head was too low. Its okay for a person 160 cm, but if you are taller than that it could be a problem.

Location is great! Walking distance to salt mine. There is cafes, a market and ATM nearby. Easy to explore Hallstatt.

Nothing. But to nitpick, I would say that the hairdryer is a bit weak. But it is a small matter.

Everything was close to perfect. Even though it is quite challenging to drag the luggage to the hotel from the ferry stop as it took about 15mins and up the stairs. It was worth all the effort. The newly refurbished room was so comfortable with new amenities like fan and fridge. The view from the room was also mesmerising. Having the salt mine attraction a stone’s throw away is such a plus.

Our stay in Hallstatt was fantastic! The room was exactly as shown in the photos—clean, cozy, and very comfortable. One of the biggest advantages was the private parking, which was incredibly useful, especially during the busy summer season when the town gets very crowded. It made our arrival and exploration so much easier. The location was peaceful yet just a short walk from the main sights. Everything was well organized, and we felt very welcome. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hallstatt, especially if you're arriving by car!

The city is amazing and the hotel nothing to complain about. It is a family business and all employees were very kind. One of the owners talked to me at breakfast and asked me if everything was ok and so on.

What could be improved: The room was quite small, and it would have been much more comfortable if there had been a small fridge available.

I loved my stay at Pension Bergfried! The location couldn’t be better just 50 meters from the bus stop, making it incredibly easy to get anywhere you want. The staff were absolutely amazing: very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. They provided us with all kinds of useful information about the area and even gave us a Summer Card, which allowed us to enjoy discounts on several activities. A perfect base for exploring Hallstatt and the surrounding region!
