Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNot a very attractive neighborhood. Apart from parks and a nearby cemetery, there is not much of interest in the area. However, a few kilometers away (5 km) there is a UNESCO castle, so this is not a major issue. The restaurant is closed and only serves organized groups, and there are not many places to eat in the immediate vicinity.
Located in a quiet park. Parking available (for a fee). Many places to sit and relax in the park. There is a public park right below the castle park with many places to play with children (separated by a fence).

PolandThe weakest point was breakfast. Nothing warm to pick from, overall very limited choice. It started at 8am and at 9am almost everything was gone. Staff was not filling all of missing items. Also - buffet tables were dirty, juice spilt all over the floor and nobody was interested in cleaning these. A shame, as other than breakfast everything was fine.
Great, spacious and comfortable room. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Great location, close enough to the subway station, next to the bus and tram stop. Nice surrounding. Friendly staff at the reception, although not very engaged. Parking next to the hotel.

NetherlandsThe hotel could do with some modernisation, but apart from that everything was good and the hotel was clean.
Very polite and helpful staff. I stayed on thursday night and the hotel was nice and quiet, despite the wedding in the nearby oranjerie and schloss.

GermanyA man without any uniform or identification wanted 5 EUR from me to park, it was only after explaining that I was staying at the hotel that he let me in for free - apparently on days when Rapid Vienna are playing, they sell their parking spaces to the public. The reception area was a bit hectic due to a kids` used clothes/toys sale in the hotel. Nobody on reception until 1500, so definitely not possible to check in early. Breakfast involves a walk through the park to a restaurant.
Nice quiet location in a park, close (20 mins walk) to the UBahn for travelling to Vienna city centre. Shops, bars and restaurants nearby, short walk away. Easy to reach by car, saves driving into Vienna. Perfect for watching Rapid Vienna. Hotel is quiet, clean and reasonably modern. Outside parking, seemed safe (in a good area). Good breakfast.

CroatiaThe breakfast is in another building and is not too rich. In the room you get only a bottle of water, soap and a shower gel.
The location is on the outskirts of Vienna, but it well connected and the bus station is in front of the hotel. The hotel park is beautiful. The staff is very helpful, in a good mood and all of them speak English. The rooms are quite large.

New ZealandThis is a conference centre with more like university hostel accommodation. No jug/kettle/tea or coffee making facilities in your room. No iron or ironing board in your room. These were not available for me to borrow from the front desk either. No fresh towels from front desk when we asked either. No room service or meals provided after breakfast. Some rooms do not have a fridge. Air con was more like a poor quality fan and ours overheated one night leaving us very hot. Mosquitos come in the windows even on the fourth floor. Some staff were great but others were rude, unfriendly and even growled at us as if we were naughty school children. This was on reception and in the restaurant. It appeared there was no laundry service available either. For the price we paid, we were surprised. We paid for an upgraded room and it was just like university hostel rooms, pretty sparse and basic. Long black hair all over the wooden floor and some in our bed as well on arrival. We ran out of soap for our bathroom. Convenient if you are at a course or conference but not for a holiday or pleasure.
Mustafa and Floren, and the man with blonde hair and glasses in the restaurant for breakfast were wonderful. (Sorry if I have not got your names exactly right), and the lady who was managing the evening dinner was wonderful too. The lady who was managing the evening big meal was great as well. The lady on the day shift at reception, sorry have forgotten your name, was helpful and nice. On the fourth floor we had a fridge in our room, which I do not think was in all of the rooms. So ask for a room with a fridge for milk etc. The grounds are impressive and the conference rooms look roomy and big but the air con/fans are not that great, so you may want to look at the season before booking a conference. Train station is 15 minute walk away and the tram and bus are about 5 minute walk away. Supermarket is close as are restaurants but some close early some days of the week. If you are arriving in the evening from the airport, be aware there is no room service or food available on site and the shops may be closed.
