Pleasant hotel with nice boutique style, though the room showed some signs of wear and could use renovation in places. The restaurant was lovely with beautiful views and good food. Great facilities for cyclists with bike storage available. The sauna was an excellent bonus and much appreciated after a day of travel. Overall a good stay with some nice amenities despite the room needing updates.

When we arrived I couldn’t fathom the pretty good reviews for the hotel versus the reality. What we booked was a charmant and cosy belle epoque hotel according to the photos, and a 4 star austrian standard according to booking.com. The price- almost 500 eur per night comfirmed our expectations. But real situation was different: as you may see on the photos, the renovations were done with the cheapest possible solutions regardless of the esthetic ruin, disrespect for the old house or its guests. And standard was 2-3 star hotel: cold draft from balcony, really small room - living out of baggage instead of wardrobe, no slippers, ruined cold floor, out of date and not functional bathroom - toiletries have to be stored in the bedroom, degutant shower curtain, towels in the spa too small to cover private parts…. Minimum stay is 3 days. If we stayed only one night our review would be devastating. But after 3 days of friendliness of staff, we considered not leaving any review at all, we didn’t want to hurt them….yet, it is not ok of them to promote the 3 star hotel like a 4 star and take 4star amount of money and get away with it consistently.

The wifi connection very unstable

Breakfast is very good, you can order any coffeee you want even flat white, latte.... oat milk, delicious bread, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, cheese, tomatoes, etc Soft mattress, for me very comfortable, for my husband too soft. He is heavy. Everything is very clean and stylish. You could feel good there and relax. Beautiful old ornaments, mirrors, old piano, library with soft light and tables where you could seat and read or play board games. 4 mins walk to the skibus. The lift and nice view from the room:) Highly recommend. The staff very nice and helpful. Thank you for lovely stay!

We advise a better maintenance of the bathroom in the room 407. Low pressure of the water and the mixer of the shower and of the sink didn’t work properly.

We loved Petra so much. She gave us a very warm welcome. She was always very efficient. We also loved the cosy atmosphere of the hotel and the good food.

One restaurant only that serves food at specific times (7pm for dinner). A la carte menu quite expensive. There is no lobby as mentioned on the pictures nor a fireplace. The only place you can sit is the restaurant itself( which is quite small anyway) No kettle for what heating , if you want a cup of tea before bed you have to order at the restaurant (at high charges)

Great location in the heart of BadGastein. water fall in 5 mins walk. Bus station 3 mins walk. staff are very friendly and helpful. Style is rustic and vintage
