A modern and very clean hotel in a unique and amazing location. The rooms are smaller but clean and modernly equipped. The breakfast was sufficient, varied, and tasty. I appreciate the very pleasant staff.

However, the hotel is older, and that comes with some downsides. Noise from neighboring rooms and the corridor was noticeable, especially in the early morning when sounds from the dining area on the lower floors carried up. The room design includes two small steps—one leading to a tiny hallway and another to the bathroom. These are easy to miss and can be a tripping hazard, especially the one that is about 2 cm high. Additionally, the tap water is not drinkable. Although the hotel offers to provide still water, we were repeatedly given sparkling water and had to ask several times just to get still water for brushing teeth or filling bottles for hikes. One more thing to be aware of: the road leading to the hotel includes two waiting points, as traffic in some sections is one-way only. The maximum waiting time can be up to 20 minutes.

Berghotel Malta is located in absolutely stunning mountain surroundings. The location alone makes the stay worthwhile, offering breathtaking views and direct access to beautiful hiking trails. The breakfast was reasonable and the food overall was enjoyable. The view from the hotel is truly wonderful, and we would return again for the mountains and nature alone.

Online : “free electric charging station” we asked at the reception how does it work . But said to be “its working like all others “ so we need to pay for it (again). Did not find it on my charging app so coupd not use at al. Need to be aligned.

Excellent stay, we have a tradition already to come to this charming place every year. It is reallu a unique location, excellent views and comfortable rooms. The hotel has a tasy breakfast, it is possible to have a great dinner with a view. The place to enjoy!

That location is something special. View on the dam, the exhibition from the dam construction. Breakfast was delicious and also dinner. Staff was very nice. And you must go on the excursion to the dam. Im sure I will be back in the future.

We had a double bed, but with two matrasses. Which means a big gap in between. Good luck hugging your partner on one of those.

WARNING! Building work currently being carried out. I was told where to park and found my vehicle covered in dust and fine stones obviously from the building work. Worst of all. when I showed this to the man on reception, he gave the impression that he thought it was amusing. I asked if there was a hosepipe or something and he just said there was nothing he could do and didn' seem keen to help in any way. I requested a bucket and water, and again, he seemed not keen to help. I sorted it out my self with a bucket I found and later I washed it properly down the town at a car wash.

Location Location Location. Most of the staff were excellent. Food was quality was reasonable if a little expensive and a little limited in choice. If staying more than one night and having special diet needs, it could be a problem.

No negatives but I would say to other travellers that I would only stay for 1 or 2 nights.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, high up in the mountains. Whilst the rooms are very utilitarian, the bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were very clean and the food in the restaurant was above average. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Arrived on our Motorbike, the lady on reception was very helpful about where to park it, we got upgraded so i can speak of the standard rooms, but the one we had was very large, in great condition with great views We had dinner here which was very good, as was the guy who severed us

The design of the hotel meant that you hear ever door slamming (on every floor) and some people get up very early!

Little hard to book as they block book rooms for mountain rescue training groups and release rooms when numbers are confirmed, but worth trying to book last minute
