Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Absolutely perfect place to stay for a few days in Kaprun. Spacious apartment in the center of this town. Perfect place to start your trips and relax after hiking. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and parking right in front of the house. And the most pleasant and kind hosts as a bonus.

- The balcony from the side of the bedroom is shared between rooms - On one or two occasions, people were drinking on the street, which is from the bedroom side, not reflecting on the apartment or the hosts, just be aware that it seems to be a part of the culture here and might be an inconvenience to consider
- high standard - all the necessary utensils in the kitchen - super friendly and helpful hosts. We were provided with all the necessary information and could each time rely on the hosts for some support about the Kaprun area - sufficient parking situation on the street - convenient location, next to a less busy street with a good view of the mountains - kitchen big enough for 4 people

Maybe sauna can improve it even more, for example it could be common sauna in basement. Anyway Tauern Spa Hotel is just 5 minutes drive.
Location is very convenient, hosts are exceptionally helpful and apartment itself is very comfortable. Apartment also provides lockers near Maiskogelbahn ski lift so no need to carry equipment. I think this apartment has the best price to value ratio that I saw last few years.

Apartment has everything you need, very close to restaurants, ski lift, etc. Plus you get a free heated locker. Easy communication and friendly owner.

Everything was fine.
The apartman has modern furniture, the kitchen is well equipped. There is a balcony on both sides, and from the kitchen you can enjoy a nice view of the top of Kitzsteinhorn.

Had to get used to the odd-shaped Austrian pillows!
Location was great near to the centre of Kaprun. Hosts were super friendly.

Nothing.
Excellent location, right in the middle of the village with all amenities required, with good access to the mountain lift system and surrounding area by bus. Our one bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. There are great views from each room and we loved watching the piste bashers at work first thing in the morning whilst eating breakfast, also sitting on the private balcony in the sun in the afternoon. Christian and Nanske are superb hosts and nothing seemed too much trouble. It's also a real family affair with even both their Mum's giving us a lovely send off.

The apartment house is in an ideal location in Kaprun very close to the city center. It is easy to enjoy a week there without driving a car. Owners are very friendly and service is excellent. The apartment was very spacious and very well equipped. There is a playground just a few steps from the house. We spent their excellent family vacations!

Nothing really!
It was perfect for our family time - appreciated fantastic large playground in the tree shadows just next to the appartment house. Stylish, absolutely clean appartment with super comfortable beds and high quality duvets and pillows. Fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and two toilets. ;-) Very close to the town centre/lifts/hiking trail but still aside in a very calm area. Amazing, lovely host, kindly accepting our young family 'specifics' with a smile (e.g. kids noice) and being always happy to help with some tips for trips, storage space for our bicycles and suggestions for restaurants, which we tested and were all fantastic. All in all, we could not wish for more and would love to come back again in winter/summer!
