The seating area downstairs around the bar, and the bar itself closed down early, 2130 at the latest. Starting dinner at 1600 with the Jause still left plenty of room to get something.

Rooming was great for travel with two teenage kids. Nice entertainment possibilities in the room. Breakfast was good but the "jause" was exceptional. It goes for a "tinner" as a combination of tea&dinner. Flavoured water included, sweets, jause, hot meal nothing to be left to desire.

Very friendly, helpful hotel. Staff are great and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent and loved the free evening snack buffet of cakes, cheese and pasta. Just what we needed after a hard day's hiking on the Adlerweg. Room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended

The one thing the hotel had no influence over, the weather...oh, and the flooring in our room was noisy

Staff were fantastic, couldn't be more helpful when needed but weren't overbearing. The hotel is comfortable and the location for exploring the Tyrol by car, bike or foot is excellent. We were not expecting anything but B&B, but before we arrived and when we chacked in, we were told there would be snacks and drinks served from 4pm to 9pm. This was the understatement of the century, what was actually available was a full-on evening meal buffet including hot food. And along with the breakfast buffet, it could not be faulted! All this at a very reasonable price, so the hotel cannot be faulted! Thank you.

That the kitchen staff didn’t speak English at all. Was a bit difficult to understand each other.

Amazing view of the mountains from the balcony. Courtesy buffet was a beautiful surprise for the stay. Many things to do in the area. Spacious rooms. Felt very relaxed after our stay. Should book a room with a balcony, it's definitely a game changer.

there couple of points to note: - bell ringing. Every day at 7 AM the chirch nearby will ring bells. As no AC is in the room, in summer you are forced to sleep with open window/balcony... It was very hard for us, as we wanted a relaxing vacation. - we are used to sleep in darkness, curtains in the room were not enough blocking sun, so after being awoken at 7AM, we couldn't fall back asleep - room service. The hotel offers room service every second day and upon the request. Unfortunatelly, on the third day when it was supposed to be cleaned again, the weather was stormy and rainy, we stayed inside and missed the cleanup. We had to ask at the reception to clean it, when we were ready to leave.

It is a great place to stay: - great location, you can start some hiking routs just from the hotel doors - nice room with balcony and outstanding views - staff is very friendly and eager to help - additional compliment to food: breakfast is very good AND! what in booking.com they call "snack buffet" is actually a full dinner buffet including ALL drinks you wish. The buffet for dinner finishes at 19.00. Very good kitchen. During our stay we enjoyed every our evenings there.

We would have liked to stay longer.

We stayed in this hotel while hiking the KaiserKrone. Location is excellent - in the center of the village, next to a supermarket, a hiking gear store (in case you're missing anything during your hike) and the bus stop to Hintersee lake. We took the bus from the lake to the hotel in the afternoon, and again in the morning. The bus is free (Wanderbus). The complementary afternoon "snack" at the hotel was surprising - it includes coffee, tea, beer, wine and a full dinner (there was potato's and meat, salads, fruit, cake). A real treat which we enjoyed while sitting on the balcony overlooking the magnificent view. In the summer on Thursday evenings there is a local festival 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Perhaps the staff should have notified us, but we just followed the music and found it.

The parquet floor of the room was a bit noisy, because it was not laid down perfectly.

The buffet in the afternoon was a positive surprise, it was a limited selection of foods, but it was good enough for us. The hotel is located in a quiet village, but by car or by bike you can visit all the important places.

The hotel had this off season feeling: much space and currently few guests when I was there mid-June. I was given an introductory speech with lots of information (time windows and options) I would have preferred to have in written form. The most important information about check out time (10:00) was not given to me (or drown in other information), as I found out the other day. When I wanted to carry my luggage back to the nearby car with intention to hand over the room key after that and obviously before leaving, I felt pressured to carry my whole luggage (heavy) to the reception several rooms further. The staff apparently wanted to make sure 100% I would pay the city tax of 2,5 EUR and give them back the key (my Visa had already been charged with the room). This felt awkward, I did honestly not appreciate that checkout experience. The woman apologized nevertheless when she realized she had pushed it a bit too far.

The room had a fantastic balcony view on the mountain chain. The hotel was located in the center of Scheffau with a parking lot. I did not test all the facilities of the hotel, I might have missed a huge breakfast buffet among other things.

The view from the room was amazing, with a nice balcony to relax and enjoy it. Lots of space in our triple room to spread out. The robes are so comfortable you won’t want to take them off! The “evening snack” can be dinner if you time it right!
