Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe wifi was really weak. Without a car this place is a bit far away (~15 min walk) from the old town and Reutte Bahnhof.
It's in a quiet location with the backdrop of the Alps. The stay was more or less comfortable. The staff were very welcoming. There's Alpentherme nearby for relaxation and the beautiful town of Reutte with rich Tyrol culture. They have nice restaurant service with a variety of Austrian dishes. Portions were very generous (I mean a lot).

United KingdomNothing, it was exactly what we needed!
We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant sampling local dishes. The upgrade to the FeWo was very much appreciated and we all slept well after a busy few days of touring the country.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing.
Great little hotel. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast is served in their parent hotel next door. The restaurant downstairs is exceptional and the reviews are well deserved. We would definitely stay again just so we could eat in the restaurant and try some more of the fabulous dishes.

ItalyNothing. Fantastic stay, thank you.
Very charming hotel in the quiet town of Breitwald / Ruette. The hotel is located in the middle of the town, walking distance to a playground. The building is typical of the area. Our room was spacious and cosy, all made in wood, spotless clean, with a very comfortable double bed and bunk bed for the kids, and a nice balcony overlooking the garden. The hotel's garden has a small playground that our kids loved, and the restaurant downstairs was fantastic and seemed very popular with locals.

LatviaBreakfast is served in a different location 80 meters away from the hotel - count on a small walk in the chilly morning weather. There is no designated room for skiing boot drying - although this is possible in the laundry room in the basement. The surroundings are beautiful, although Reutte looks rather dark in the evening with not many options for dining and entertainment.
Rather optimal location relatively close (15-25 min drive) to main skiing slopes in the area. Very cosy rooms with soft beds, good for family stays of 2 adults and one kid per room. Good restaurant for dinner.

United KingdomThe bathroom could have been better, shower over the bath with a slippery bath tub, no hooks for towels. The room was very warm - we had the windows wide open all night, but had to put up with the cigarette smoke from the next balcony.
Very nice, modern room. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast.

PolandThe beds are too soft, there is no fridge in the room, and there is no coffee service.
The apartment is modestly equipped, but clean. The breakfast is truly unique, with a very wide selection, although it is served in the hotel next door. I also recommend the restaurant in the Alpenhotel

LuxembourgOur room was on the street side: a little bit noisy. No lift and therefore not adequate for persons with mobility problems.
Very clean, warm welcome and restaurant on premices. We stopped there on our way to Italy (NB: hotel equipped with charging stations for EVs). We hadn’t the opportunity to discover the surroundings but the hotel seemed to be ideally located near trekking paths.

United KingdomNothing.
The location was the best bit, near the motorway but had a very pleasant area. There is a supermarket nearby where we were able to get some food for the journey. The food was extremely good, although we only had a starter and dessert, as we had overindulged the evening before. The locals made a space for us at the bar and it was very pleasant talking to a couple of them. It goes without saying their English was much better than our German!

United KingdomBeing typical British there was no tea or coffee facilities within the room and no fan or air con. We hit the area in a heatwave though. Only minor things but wouldn't stop any visit again.
This was a one night stopover and so glad we did. The hotel and village is set in the mountains. Lovely views. Hotel inside was just as we imagined. Very Austrian, Very clean. Friendly staff. Food in their restaurant was excellent. A lot of local people using it , which is always a good sign. Service was fast and efficient. We ordered a bottle of wine and sat watching the deer in the fields and the sun go down. The bathroom was of high quality and cleanliness. Parking was easy and available. Went a walk around the lovely village. Will defiantly go back.

GermanyBreakfast room can be crowded if a tour group arrives before you (happened to us); plus it‘s especially tight maneuvering around guests at the buffet.
Quiet location, however the outside restaurant terrace and children play area are below your balcony; could be a problem in summer with guests having a merry conversation late in the evening (we did). The restaurant has a very impressive menu, however our dinner was spoiled when our expensive wild game dinners arrived just a couple minutes after our started salads.
