Spacious room with two balconies and a lovely lake view. Great indoor pool, saunas, and tasty breakfast. No air conditioning, so with 95°F heat, we had to keep windows open. Our room faced a busy street, making sleep difficult. Quiet rooms face the mountains, but my request for one wasn’t accommodated. If leaving early, arrange in advance as the hotel is locked at night.

Reception service not as friendly and helpful as the restaurant. We tried with our German as best we could but from the three different staff there was no word of English which is unusual for a tourist area and in comparison to the restaurant When I asked for an extra pillow for my highly pregnant friend they said there were none which I don’t think is likely as they weren’t fully. It wasn’t bad service by any means- very efficient and the man at the start was quite friendly. The rooms are okay but quite small and not as well decorated in comparison to the restaurant. (Maybe that was just our room and the shape of it- 101)

Outstanding friendly service in the restaurant, beautiful three course meal to a higher gourmet standard. Restaurant is beautifully decorated in a modern alpine style. Fantastic service. spa is small but nice, Clean, good standard. Nice views of Achensee and mountains.

This was the perfect getaway for a week in the mountains; we loved the close proximity to many of the Achensee attractions (the Erlebnis Card is well worth the money), but it was also easy to spend a day relaxing in the well-appointed spa. What really set this property apart, though, was the fantastic customer service. We received personal support on all of our requests: including adding a few extra touches for a birthday we celebrated while there. And the food each night as part of the half pension (breakfast + dinner) was a highlight we looked forward to each day. If you are visiting this hotel, make sure you choose this half pension rate - it would be hard to summarize well enough how good the food was; suffice it to say that each night provided a different five course fine dining menu - and all directly within the hotel. We loved our stay and will definitely choose this hotel again if visiting the area.

the hotel is overlooking a very noisy road with constant traffic of heavy lorries A Big minus: the landlord imposes continuous background music (including at night) which resumes in a permanent loud beat - music is not audible - nearly unbearable. I asked it to be stopped but met a dead end Happily enough rooms are well insulated from outdoor noise and background beat No mini fridge in the room there is no air conditioning but even with high temperatures outside (35°C) the room temperature remains acceptable

- kitchen was already closed when we arrived at 9 p.m. - uncomfortable bed, very soft - the road right in front of hotel was very noisy almost all night
