Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BahrainNo information in the room about hotel or the room. Gym - shouldn’t call it a gym. Two machines in a corridor (only one working) and a weight machine. Sauna was not working.
Location and view from the room. Small kitchen which was great and well stocked with cups etc.

United StatesSelf-serve coffee would be better instead of waiting for it to be served for breakfast. The walls between rooms are pretty thin, so you can hear everyone on the floor. But it’s fine with earplugs.
Our room on the 5th floor has a spectacular and comprehensive balcony view of recoleta cemetery. Lots of dining options in the neighborhood. Walkable to most of the tourist activities in the city, or a short subway ride.

AustraliaBreakfast included was average with 3 x limited choices but eggs were freshly cooked.
We had a good stay at the Sileo Hotel. It was a convenient location with Cemetery views from our balcony. Good size room. Walkable to a lot of sights in the city and local restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful and we felt comfortable to walk or grab a cab to wherever we needed. Would stay here again if ever visiting the city again!

ChileThe in house breakfast was like a play going wrong. A group of very young and unexperienced people were starting to run a coffee inside the building. The service was terrible and over the top. We were shocked when one of the waiters offered a Heimlich maneuver to my 78 year old mother for coughing twice, something that would have ended in a crisis as her bones would have probably snapped! The "café" people took over the hotel in the 5 nights we stayed, and not in a good way. The café became 'too visible' putting the hotel in 2nd place. Street signs that overpowered the quaint design of the hotel's name, café staff having events the hotel was unaware of and using spaces such as the toilets and conference room with loud annoying music making things unavailable for passengers. The café people were cheap and mean with the breakfast food, they wanted to charge extra for butter! Thankfully you could go to Cafe Constanzo around the corner for breakfast that was close and you could avoid the whole theatrical experience of unexperienced and overexcited staff at the start of your day. The owners should really be more careful about their hotel and consider how including a café led by people with this profile affects it. It wasn't only a disruption of the space, but we also became worried about security as people with access to the cafe could access the rooms and hotel ammenities.... We really enjoyed the hotel without the café that invaded the lobby! The café really took away from the Hotel's value and image. It's a bad call in our perspective and at least when we stayed the coffee was not 'speciality' coffee, but under that standard. The only other thing that could be improved was the maintenance of small details in the room such as the "tv frames" and some bathroom/ kitchen small details that looked shabby and could easily be fixed.
The rooms we were asigned were perfect for our stay. The Staff was outstanding, specially Cecilia who went out of her way to make us comfortable as did her collegaues at the front desk. We were specially grateful to whoever assigned the rooms, perfect for what we described on the booking. The Hotel was nice, low key, had a great location and nice rooms with a great view. It had great features as a pool, sauna and gym. It's very central, though away from the noisy tourist zone.

AustraliaWe thought the breakfast arrangement lets the place down and has a cheap feel about it. Whilst you don't need a huge buffet, being told you have ONE drink and ONE choice of a very small serving of whatever, is off putting. I believe this is an area where the hotel could make a big improvement.
The room was large with a balcony although it was an interior view "courtyard" of other buildings which were not attractive. The location was perfect for exploring Recoleta with many shops, restaurants and bars close by. It is right beside the famous Recoleta Cemetery so it was very quiet!! The kitchenette was basically equipped so that you could self-cater should you want to. The lady on reception is lovely, spoke good English and was very obliging. The young server at breakfast was delightful and worked very hard on getting our meals correct and using basic English. There is a very small rooftop plunge-pool next to a sauna. You could also sit up there and look over the cemetery.

AustraliaPillow was too fat. Good hotels offer fat and thin ones. Staff did not have a good service ethic. For example the wifi password was written incorrectly. It was all lower case and they gave the first letter as upper case. When I said I couldn't connect the receptionist said I just had to keep trying. No-one knew the name of the Metro station for Teatro Colon.

Beautiful hotel room with an unbeatable view of the iconic Recoleta Cemetery. The room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you might need for your stay. The breakfast at the café around the corner was also absolutely superb. The entire neighbourhood felt safe with many shops, restaurants and parks within close walking distance. Additionally, there was a mall just around the corner.
