We booked this hotel , but the day after booking were informed due to renovations we could not stay in Tierra Gaucha and instead would be moved to Plaza Hotel Bariloche. I found this a bit odd as surely the hotel knew this when I placed the booking. I had specifically booked Tierra Gaucha due to its proximity to the bus station as we had an early bus the next day, and the hotel we were moved to was further away. The facilities were basic, the window could be opened from the outside which felt a bit unsafe the radiator was on full but we could not turn it down due to the latch being broken, the shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold, and there was no parking. Despite this it was good value for the price we paid and the staff were helpful.

Our first night we were on the third floor, there isn’t a lift, which is something you should know. We stayed two nights, but not consecutive, as we had an excursion booked that required overnight stay. In our second night fortunately we were in a room on the first floor. I think calling it ‘boutique hotel’ is misleading. The rooms are very basic and dated, the bathrooms are even more dated. It seemed to us that the put effort in doing up the ground floor, but the rest of the hotel doesn’t follow the same effort.

The staff is probably the best asset in this hotel. In particular the lovely lady at the reception during the day. The ground floor looks nice and the breakfast is good too.

The first room we were in did not have a window and was next to the boiler room, we were able to move after 1 night and the second room was great.

The noise from the street and from the car repair shop across the street, only one room of the hotel had lake view.

The hostel is situated neat the beach and very close to the city center. The helpful staff The breakfest was good Free Café during the day

The bathroom door didn't open properly as the toilet was right behind it which made it a little difficult to get into the bathroom.

Cheap, basic and comfortable accommodation close to restaurants and only a 15 minute walk to downtown. A decent free breakfast was available each morning (just remember to book your slot the day before as space is limited in the dining area) and the kitchen is available to use during the rest of the day.

the bed was not very comfy and it was kind of sunken on one side.

the staff is great! Zahira helped us with many tips and was very kind, she booked all of the taxis that we needed and always welcomed us with a big smile! also, the breakfast was really goog and there are media lunas to enjoy any time of the day!

The kitchen is small and can get busy at times. There are no kitchen knives, no small pots and no cupboards to store your food. The layout and materials of the hotel means that sound travels and it can be quite noisy late at night and early in the morning.

The staff here were really helpful and the customer service was excellent. Great breakfast with lots of choice – cereals, yoghurt, croissants, jams, bread, cakes fruit, juice, coffee and tea. Spacious room with comfortable bed and heating to keep you warm. Good location within walking distance of the centre.
