How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The heater did not work, and we could not open the window either. Furniture looked kind of grim.
The hostel was quiet and well-placed. Bathrooms were clean, but not inviting.

Not a very social hostel. Also arrived here early and it took forever to get ahold of staff to let us in.
An amazing location I don’t think you could find better for the price. Decent beds and pillows. The bathroom had hot water but on our floor there was only one bathroom so had to always wait for people to be done.

It was very hot during the night time, but all good and we survived :)
Hostel has a great location and super friendly staff, especially we got priceless tips from Camilio, he was very helpful throughout our stay. Good value for money.

The bathrooms didn't have toilet paper or much else in them. You can get it from the front desk, but it seems like it would be easier (and a relatively minor expense for them) if they just left the bathrooms stocked.
The owner was really friendly and took the time to get to know many of the guests. He gave us advice on things to do and where to go to get stuff we needed, and was generally open to answering question about anything we were interested in. The space had everything we expected. The rooms and common areas were spacious and there were plenty of bathrooms.

Maybe more fournitures in the kitchen would be good!

This place is old, like, “might’ve been charming in the ‘70s if you squint” old. The humidity in the room could probably be bottled and sold as a skincare serum. Internet only works downstairs, which means you get to sit in the common area and not make friends with other guests who all give off mildly cursed energy. I don’t know what it was, but I never felt at ease, like someone might try to recruit me into a pyramid scheme or start playing the flute unironically. There are 3 bathrooms for the entire hostel. One upstairs. THREE. Sometimes clogged. Math that out. If you enjoy suspense and a healthy bladder challenge, this is your moment to shine. The kitchen? Basically a dollhouse setup. I’ve seen better equipped kitchens in camper vans. Trying to cook for a hostel-sized crowd in there is a full-contact sport.
If price and location are all you care about, congrats, you found the jackpot. If you also enjoy functioning Wi-Fi, a non-swampy room, and the luxury of not queuing for 30 minutes to use a toilet… keep scrolling.

It was a great value for money. It’s really well located and the people who were at the front desk were very helpful and friendly at all times. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

I know this is budget accommodation, but everything is literally falling apart. The bathrooms are clean but only just function. It was OK to stay only one night but I wouldn't stay longer!!
The people working at the hostel were really friendly and helpful.

No aircon in the room.
I stayed for 4 nights and no one else shares the dorm room with me. Big lockers, big lounge. 3 fridges to store your items. Kitchen is small and need to ask the staffs for utensils, but they are more than willing to provide it. Probably this is to maintain the cleanliness. The staffs are attentive and helpful. Location is very good. Free storage when I am away for few days. Bathroom and kitchen are cleaned few times a day.

The location is great. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and nice. However the highlight is Camilo the Host of the Hostel. He is incredibly friendly and helpful. He is always open for a talk and is a truly perfect host.

The people don't talk to each other. You can hardly find anyone to chat with. Everyone was doing his own thing. So the atmosphere when I was there was not so nice. And the kitchen is not at all equippedat the moment, so if you want to cook you need to bring everything yourself - pan, plates, cutlery, lighter.
Good location right in the center, nice building, and friendly staff!
