Great place in a remote location. Lovely, big room with a comfy bed and bath. The bar was nice and cosy and the meal at the restaurant was one of the best we had in Argentina. We loved the horse riding and the lunch prepared out in the open - amazing experience. Staff was exceptional too.

We loved our time at Estancia La Estela. We stayed for 2 nights and it was the perfect place to relax after several days of hiking. Friendly and attentive staff, the food was excellent and we really enjoyed the horseback riding tour with lunch (best empanadas of our 3 week trip!). Highly recommend!

Beautifully located around lago Viedma. From our room we had amazing view to Fitz Roy. Super clean, nice, warm and cozy room. Teastfully decorated. The restaurant and the bar of the estancia are fantastic too. And Samuel is a great host. We had fantastic time in this place at the end of the world.

The property is in a beautiful remote location with vast views all around. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. I was very impressed with the dinners and our horseback ride lunch. The common areas have games, views and a bar with a large fireplace for gathering. I have to mention the dark skies. No light pollution to spoil them.

We enjoyed the horse riding but it was a bit expensive for what it was.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, overlooking the water. When its clear you can see all the way to Fitz Roy. The room too was stunning, the huge window made the most of the view. Food in the restaurant was excellent too for breakfast and dinner. They kindly made us a packed breakfast one morning so we could leave early to do the Fitz Roy hike. The bar area is really nicely decorated and you can play pool!

There was really nothing that I didnt like. Or maybe just trying to keep the building straight. Is this the restaurant or is this the bar.

As soon as we got there, we were treated like royalty. Everyone so friendly, so professional. Nicole is just a sweetheart. The room was very nice. You see the mountains and the lake from the picture window. Only breakfast I had during my trip that had eggs and bacon. Steak dinner was very good. Went horse back riding. Not a bad price at all. The young gaucho,, Gonzalo was very nice like all Argentinians. Stopped for a snack and Gonzalo made a fire and we had this dough product that was like deep fried. Cant remember the name of them. They were tasty.. He told us alot about his country. Went through the sand dunes to the lake. Pretty cool.

Location truly remote but facilities (rooms, lounge, dining room, greenhouse, stables) authentically sophisticated and elegant. Easy to imagine gauchos working the Estancia long in the past. Fabulous view across Lago Viedma to Fitzroy. Staff demonstrated personal committment to hospitality.

Learn about taking the bus to La Leona rather than cabs as the cars are expensive. Probably best to have a rental car.

Do the horseback ride, stay up late and see the stars and be sure to talk to the staff and make friends. Everyone is lovely and the views are better than the pictures, really.

A beautiful change of pace for a couple of days, when travelling through Patagonia. Large comfortabel rooms with beautiful views. The 3 hour horse ride, including a steak lunch, is a definite recommendation!

This was the best accommodation we had on our trip: gorgeous views due to its secluded spot, excellent restaurant / food and cute bar, lovely staff who spoke perfect English, great amenities (spacious, modern and yet cosy cabin). We only regret not having stayed longer. This would definitely be a 4-star hotel in Europe.

Restaurant is only a la carte and it is the same menu for lunch and dinner and during our stay the menu didn’t change. But the food is good!

The location is absolutely AMAZING. I recommend to do the horse ride to visit the estancia even further. It will be like being in Paradise! The staff is exceptional and welcoming (literally everyone was so nice with us: the owner, the manager, the staff working at the bar and restaurant, the person working with the horses!) Wifi is great. As fast as in Manhattan! Jaw dropping considering where the estancia is located.
