The room and all of its surrounding was amazing. the owners were charming and let us feel comfort all the visit. we liked to talk with them and they are very welcoming and friendly. I like the vintage style in this hotel, every item was picked carefully and I could sense the thought behind any book, sculpture, vase etc'... will recommend anyone of my friends and family !!

Fernando and Lili are wonderful hosts. They are very endearing and go out of their way to ensure first class hospitality. The location is great, but you need a car. This boutique hotel was designed by them and built in 2012 with special attention to ensure that every room has that awesome view of the surrounding mountains. The library and the furnishings are a testament to their impeccable taste. They are both so cultured and conversing with them was a treat. Argentina holds a special place in our hearts, this being our third trip to the country, and our stay at Casona del Alto served to further strengthen that bond.

Everything! Beautiful property and in beautiful serene surroundings. Lili and Fernando are wonderful hosts and clearly take much pride in their business and in providing hospitality. The pool was an added bonus as were Lola and Luna the well behaved dogs. The views are amazing and the indoor spaces for relaxing are also beautiful. We ate in one night and it was delicious and very reasonable. The breakfasts are also great with home baked goods. All in all a fabulous experience and we would love to return.

Unbelievable stay!!! I read so many great comments about the owner and the place so I was afraid to be disappointed but they exceed my expectations by far! Amazing people in an amazing place. Look no more if the place if available book it!!!! And I highly recommend to stay for the dinner, Lily is an excellent cook! It was by far our favorite place in Argentina! I wish I will be able to come here again!

Great view from the property and the owners were very friendly and attentive. Just 9 rooms so very exclusive. You need a car to get here. Property is very clean comfortable and well maintained Great showers and hot water and heating. Breakfast is delicious and fresh.

Just a little outside of town, but nice and quiet and great if you are going north for fishing or other activities in Lanin.

Beautiful property and well designed hotel. It smells wonderful from the moment you walk in the door! The included breakfast was great and the optional dinner was a good choice after a busy day. The hosts are wonderful and speak great English and provided really good recommendations for local restaurants and where to exchange currency. The property is even better than the photos appear. You’ll love it!

We spent 7 nights at Del Alto & we are so happy that we did. Lilli & Fernando are amazing hosts. Wonderful large bedroom with a great view. The breakfast is delicious, and if you want to reserve dinner, that is an option also. Lilli is a skilled chef. Plus: Heated pool Sauna Gym Hydro Numerous sitting areas Mini library

Everything was perfect. The view, the tranquility, the rooms, the hospitality of the hostess, breakfast and dinner. Lili helped us book a taxi and recommended a great restaurant and art gallery. We had a wonderful time and would recommend Casona Del Alto to anyone. Without a doubt the best place we stayed during our trip to Argentina.

Everything was beyond perfect.

Without doubt, one of the best places to stay in Argentina — in fact in the world (I have travelled a lot:). The Casona is beautifully laid out, the views are superb, the interior decor is thoughtful & classy, and the meals were exceptional! However, what tops it all are the hospitality & warmth with which the owners host the travelers — words will not do justice to the effort that they put in to make you feel at home ! Our stay was a highlight of our trip & we will be back!

We could have planned on staying longer.

Websites usually over hype the qualities of the accommodations. Here, the place is even better than suggested by the write up. The house and grounds are gorgeous, inviting and not in the least pretentious. It is a place to relax and feel at home while traveling. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Fantastic. Bravo. On a 1-5 scale it is at least a 6. Add your accolades. I agree. Casona Del Alto is wonderful and the owners, Lilli and Fernando are too!

essentially nothing although getting there entailed a short trip on a gravel road if that’s an issue for you. for us, manageable and very worth it to get a beautiful, uninterrupted view of the valley

the grounds were beautiful, the house design was so cozy and lovely, the room was spacious, a cute couple owns and runs it who were very helpful with all of our questions
