AustraliaIt Would have been nice if the pool was open earlier in the day -I would have loved to have been able to use it in the morning. Breakfast could have had some more food options (particularly for vegetarians), eg yogurt, nuts and seeds would have been a good addition.

Also we were really looking forward to use the spa facilities, but the sauna was already fully booked on the day of our arrival and the next morning they opened after 11.00 (I don’t know why that is), so we were not able to make use of that which was a pity.

FranceThe sauna only goes up to 60 dégrées and they are not allowed to increase the température nor are you able to pour water to increase the humidity. You need to book the sauna in advance and the spots fill up which makes it hard to even be able to use it. The interior design could be improved.
The staff were super nice and helpful (especially Cristian who helped us planning our hikes). The view on the lake is incredibly beautiful.

It’s a beautiful property right on the lake. Rooms were nice and clean. Spectacular views if you get rooms facing lake. Friendly staff. 10 minute walk to the main town square.

CanadaNo sound proofing between our room and the adjoining room. Could hear their conversations and worse baby crying. Needed ear plugs. Also could hear people talking in the hallways. Our toilet did not stop running but the next day they came and fixed it. Not sure if it was because the plumber had been there sometime earlier, but housekeeping didn’t get to our room till almost 4 Also no temperature controls. Room was warm so had to open the window which made the road noise louder. No small plates or snacks in the bar. Only the full food menu. Breakfast was ok not great and repeated.
Right on the lake with amazing views. Nicely decorated room with good bed, linens, towels and nice shower. Door man very nice, restaurant staff ok.

United StatesI expected “Mountain View” for a room that I booked that said “Mointain View”. That room looked at the back street, and cars, no mountain view whatsoever. I had to pay about 400 dollars extra to change to a real Mountain View room. Beware! Ask before you book!

United KingdomBreakfast selection rather limited for a 5* hotel and the breakfast room/restaurant has a barn-like feel - great views though. Nobody welcoming/checking breakfast guests. The Bistro food menu was surprisingly basic for a luxury hotel. Walk to town required navigating narrow pavements under construction on a busy road.
The room was large and comfortable. Good wifi. Friendly and helpful staff. Attractive pool and gym, though no resistance machines and a very small selection of weights. Bistro/bar has panoramic views and is a great place to spend an hour or two as the sun is going down.

AustriaStaff was friendly but not capable in several situations. For example: Obviously the guideline for the staff is that the guest has to pay the room when he arrives. That would not be a problem for us, but it happened twice (first time at check in, second time when asking for a room upgrade the next day) that the staff at the counter forgot about it and then ran after us and cat-calling at us in the staircase that we have to come back and pay. And the second time (room upgrade) we then had to wait a few minutes at the counter because the one and only staff member doing the payment was hanging on the phone. When I asked to pay later after coming back from dinner they denied because it had to be right now. That whole issue left us behind with a feeling of being seen as not being capable of paying the bill. Like being a trickster or impostor, in short not being good enough for the hotel. In my opinion being a 5 star hotel is more than just having all the conveniences.
Nice hotel with all conveniences directly at the lake. Friendly staff.
