I almost left after my first day, because all of the lockers in the dorm room had broken latches and there was no way to lock my stuff up when I wasn't in the hostel. The latches on the bathroom doors are also in very poor condition so it's not that easy to keep the door closed when you're inside. The benches in the kitchen are also very wobbly, so any time someone sits down or gets up, everything moves. It would be great to see Alaska make these basic repairs.

This is a good hostel with an amazing staff. The beds are comfortable, the rooms have heaters, the showers have good hot water, the free daily breakfast is very nice, and the kitchen/eating area is a wonderful place to linger at breakfast or a late dinner talking with other guests. It is easy to access from the city buses and easy to reach other attractions around Bariloche. The neighborhood is super quiet. The friendly, helpful staff/owners are top notch. One of my best hostel stays ever.

Have stayed for 2 nights to rest after long patagonian journey. This place is really awesome! Not only it looks cool and have good vibes thanks to always welcoming staff, but for the price of 11k ARS you get a really cozy room, well equipped kitchen and fantastic breakfast! Had a great time in here and can only recommend.

The first Hostel in Bariloche in the early 1980. It's an amazing place, the staff are wonderful. They occasionally cook group meals. It's clean, comfortable and they have secure parking inside the fence for a motorcycle. I would go back

Location's quite far from everything but you have some small shops and restaurants 10-15min walk away.

As everyone says, the breakfast really is great. The garden area is also very tranquil and nice to hang out in.

The rooms were pretty basic and the sheets had some stains on them, they were clean though. These small things all didnt matter cause the rest of the hostel was too good.

Had an amazing experience. We joined the asado on a tuesday night, the food that Santiago prepared was so good! We had such a fun time with the other people in the hostel and the staff. A true Argentinian experience. The kitchen was also well stocked with all the stuff you need. The bathroom was quite new and the shower was nice.

Such a fun atmosphere. Staff/Owners were super nice and threw an "asado". You can tell all the beds and pillows were new and comfortable. Shower was hot and amazing pressure. A super cozy and social vibe. I also like that it's outside of the city center. Right by Playa Bonita, a great beach.

Good place with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast consists homemade food and the bedrooms are cool and spacious. Shower was a dream.

There was no staff at reception to meet us when we arrived, we just got sent a WhatsApp message and had to walk through the social area and find the room ourselves. They had let the previous travellers leave their bags in the lockers so we weren't able to use them for the first night which we thought was strange and unfair. The bathroom door doesn't lock. Location is quite far away from everything and no big supermarkets nearby. Staff don't respect the 11pm quiet time - we had to knock on the wall twice to make them turn the TV down because the room is right next to the social space (some rooms are downstairs so this may not be a problem).

The beds are super comfortable, breakfast is basic but nice and includes fresh bread, shower is warm and powerful, good value for money if you pay in cash. It's okay for a night or two but we probably wouldn't return.

For a longer stay in Bariloche, or if you have a bike, I’d recommend the area. However for just a couple of days, I found that it was pretty inconvenient to be on the other side from the main town, as you have to bus about 25 mins to the main centre. This hostel is in more of a suburbs area!

The kitchen and living room areas are really nice social spots, and the bedrooms are comfy. The bathroom doors don’t lock and stay slightly ajar which is a little awkward for shared rooms. The staff are really great, and make delicious bread for breakfast!
