How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff is amazing, any problem they have a solution, even when we came they find us a parking spot in front of the house.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location is perfect, close to everything we needed. Our hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations. They made us feel at home and we are very grateful. We truly enjoyed our time. Highly recommended!

Vila Zhiti was a perfect choice for a beach holiday. We were welcomed by a really hospitable family, they tried to please us in everything, they were very friendly. The accommodation was very close to the beach, there were shops nearby. They were also able to help with parking the motorbikes. The room was well equipped, comfortable and clean. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

It has a great location near the beach. The room was clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped. The host was extremely kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

The welcome by the friendly host was warm and heartfelt. The accommodation was just as described — comfortable and clean. It’s a 3-minute walk to the beach. There are plenty of good dining options nearby.

We arrived very late at night due to a delayed flight, and the hosts were very accommodating and understanding of us arriving late. The bed was comfortable and room was clean! Our host made us a coffee in the morning and we enjoyed a chat with her, she was very lovely and friendly!

Be careful to close the windows, including the bathroom, as mosquitos come in. View in?my room spoilt by construction next door so I was looking at a messy roof and then the sea in the distance.

Super friendly hosts, a welcoming family. They really put a lot of effort in making your stay as comfortable as possible. You can ask them anything you need to know and they do their best to help you. Also the room was super clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable.

Firstly we were touched by the warm welcome of the host, from the airport pickup, during our entire stay, till our departure. We loved that the Vila is closed to the bea ch, restaurants and markets. A great thak you to the host ! We will for sure return to the Vila when next time in Durres.😍🤩

A renovation in the bathroom would really help elevate the room.

Villa is 2 minutes from the beach on a small side street. .The hosts are very friendly and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. When our lock didnt work they fixed it within 15minutes. They invited us for coffee in the morning which was lovely. There is a patio outside with decking and rattan furniture to sit on and the garden is well kept. The room was big, with a wardrobe, table and chairs, basin, fridgefreezee and kettle. It had a balcony where you could hang wet costumes and towels. And a blind to keep the sun out. Aircon worked well and is a must. The personalised shampoo and soap is a bonus. The place is pristine. A bedside light and a mirror in the room, not just the bathroom, would make things more comfortable when its a family room and everyone needs to use the mirror/bathroom- but so far nowhere we stayed had that Shops, markets and restaurants are all within a couple of blocks walking. The beach promenade has every kind of restaurant/coffee shop/cocktail bar with a fair and market ar the end.

Toilet was super hot as you couldn’t close the window. No view from the windows; it was directly into bricks from another wall..
Great location and very helpful and sweet host family! When power went off (no light, no AC), the family took care of it within 15 minutes

The location was fine just 30 meter from the sea. Great hospitality! Our kid enjoyed playing at the beach and in the yard together with the hosts kids. Very enjoyable stay, Thanks alot.
