This is an old building, dated back into the 90s, therefore do not expect it as a brand new hotel, The bathroom was clean, however the fixtures were of low quality; for example, the toilet seat would not stay up, it always fall down that when we sit on it, the cover will fall on our back.

The location was scenic. The breakfast was simple and good, however as the host was alone without any help, it got slightly delayed in re-filling. Ours were a 22 member group, therefore a bit overwhelmed, however Amazona was kind and patient to feed us all, I would give A*** to Amazona , the host and owner of the property - She is quick to respond to all your messages, She speaks proper English. She was kind enough to be awake till we arrived to check in at midnight. I do not know how to thank her for her service. Therefore I changed my rating from a 7 to a 8 now.

Beautiful location with a short walk through their orchard to the lake. EXCELLENT FOOD. I am vegetarian and gluten free and they catered for me. I even ate cake (made from maize).

Good location for Shala river trip and for the ferry up to Fierze. Breakfast was a good buffet with eggs, cheese and salad, selection of cereal, yoghurt and jams. Amazona is a lovely, friendly person and a great cook - nice dinner options.

For me, the stay at Vila Franceze was one of the absolute highlights of our cycling tour through the balkans to Istanbul. Not only did we have fun on and around the lake, but also enjoyed the tranquil & easy atmosphere of the Vila. The location is amazing- a short walk to the lake that you will probably have all to yourself. The hotel has some lounges and umbrellas near the water, so after your swim you can enjoy the view. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and the A/C and wifi were excellent. I had dinner at the hotel and my meal was delicious, especially the salad. I would stay here again.

Quiet little home stay not far from the boats. Great hiking near by and private beachy area. Price of room was extremely affordable and the breakfast was great. A lot of homemade items and fruits from their garden. The owner was very nice and helpful with questions about things in the area

Perhaps the entrance to the hotel could use more lighting since it’s difficult to navigate around the area at night.

Everything was amazing! The location is perfect for someone who likes nature and prefers being isolated from the heaps of tourists coming to the area (not so much a problem in the north of Albania yet). The staff was attentive to all our needs, especially when we had doubts about the Shala river tour. Breakfast is available, and you could opt for lunch and dinner too, you just have to give the owner a heads up.

The breakfast was simple (tomato, cucumber, feta, bread, hard boiled eggs). The dinner must be scheduled in advance and doesn't run very late so if you are a night owl you will have to find another option. And I do recommend earplugs. The doors/walls are a bit thin. During our stay, we could clearly hear our neighbors...enjoying each other. I guess it's better than listening to a couple fighting. We wish them all the best.

The location is perfect for a Komani Lake and/or Shala River trip. The little beach (and pier) by the lake are lovely and the hotel has kayaks for rent which is nice. The hotel also offers massages at a fair price in their garden which is a very nice feature. The hostess at the hotel is kind and helpful.
