Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThere wasn't anything we particularly disliked, but there are a few areas that could be improved. For example, it would be nice to have an additional chair on the balcony. Some hangers or extra furniture in the villa would also be useful. Additionally, having consistent warm water and reliable electricity would enhance the experience, although that might not be the host's responsibility.
We spent a night at the Twin Villas during our road trip through Albania. Getting there was quite the adventure, we had to drive on some rough mountain roads and take two different boats (one to Shala river, then to Komani twin villas). But let me tell you, it was totally worth it to see the beautiful Shala riverside, where we also had traditional lunch. The boat trips on the river were super peaceful and really pleasant. The villa itself is pretty basic, with just a bed and a simple bathroom (the warm water and electricity were a bit hit or miss). But the amazing view of the lake and mountains makes you forget all about that. Our host Filip was helpful and always available whenever we needed anything. We also had a fantastic dinner there, homemade by our hosts. If you're not too fussy about luxury, this is definitely a great place to spend a night or two.

United KingdomThe villas are still a work in progress I believe so that is my reason for the value for money score as some areas were missing that ‘glamping’ touch for the price paid. There is a mosquito net in the bathroom but there are gaps in the main room which need to be filled using skirting boards to seal between the wall and the floors and the door. These small gaps mean some flying ants get in but not too many - mosquitos didn’t. I am sure this maintenance will be done as the property gets more people coming and they receive more money. The litter at the bottom near the kayaks needs to be cleared up. Perhaps encouraging tourists to collect litter from the water whilst kayaking using signs or offering a free drink etc may be a good initiative for this. Mini fridge in bedroom and a fan would be a plus for the money paid, especially as it is very hot during the summer months 30+. Furniture from pics (chairs) were missing but did not matter as we were outside a lot. Despite all this, I would stay there again as the family are so lovely and the area is just bliss.
Twin Villas The boat booking is simple (they run like buses) and you must go - please see bottom of this review for how to book. This is a simple but beautiful place to stay. It is more like a home stay where you are welcomed by a lovely family. Beautifully home made food, with really generous breakfast servings served on the covered seating area with a beautiful view. Excellently priced soft drinks and alcohol drinks, served on a covered terrace with benches. Free water. Free use of Kayaks at any time - just help yourself. Room has a great modern bathroom with a powerful enough shower. Small toiletries and nice toilet paper. WiFi is very strong with quick downloads. The bed is comfy and everything is very fresh and clean - very lovely smelling laundry detergent too! It was very clean. Florence (one of the brothers/manager) helped to arrange boat for Lumi I Shales trip which collected us and brought us back. He also helped to get the boat from Koman. Boat booking link: Use this link and use PAYPAL to pay for ticket. Koman — Fierze boat (write in box mentioning you need drop off at twin villas). If link doesn’t work, message company on Instagram they are very helpful. See yellow for getting there in photo and pink for return (please remember the date of the review as it could change). https://www.bookferryberisha.com/ReservationOnline/Index?Ids=9 It is really worth staying if you love the outdoors and the view is spectacular. Much better than other views offered on this lake. We stayed for two nights and were comfortable. NOTE: there is a small 1 min hike up a steep path to get to the villas - easy to walk like a woodland trail. They will put your luggage in a sled tool to get it up the mountains if you have silly cases like we did!

NetherlandsMe and my friend did not know what to expect when travelling to the Komani Lake, as we have never been on this kind of getaway. It was an extensive trip to get to the accomodation, but we will say: totally worth every effort! The trip to the accomodation is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views of the Komani Lake and the mountains. The accomodation really feels far away from everything, a perfect getaway. The cabins have the most beautiful view over the lake with many hiking options in the area. We were the last ones of the season, the two brothers who run this place came all the way on this trip to accomodate us. They did this with every hospitality and kindness, being super helpful from the moment we set foot in the area to our drop-off the next day at the other side. Can absolutely reconmend this place, also if you want to support a local family owned business!

Wow! We had an incredible stay at twin villas komani lake! The view was amazing, food was great, the family who owns this, took such good care of us and showed us the way of life here. Because it is primitive. You have to like that! We loved it and didn't really want to leave.

SpainThe entrance is not very accessible: to get there you have to climb a narrow mountain path, which can be difficult for some people. The biggest issue we experienced was that sometimes the shower didn’t work properly: occasionally there was no water at all or just a few drops. The power went out a couple of times, but it was restored quickly, so it wasn’t a major inconvenience. The cabins are not prepared for hot days, and when we arrived it was quite warm inside; however, at night it cools down and is very pleasant. When we arrived, there was quite a lot of trash floating in the river, although later it drifted away to another area. The food is homemade and decent, but I found the price a bit high. Previously, according to earlier reviews, the use of kayaks was free, but now there’s a fee.
The location is incredible, with breathtaking scenery that’s truly worth it. The cabins are quite clean and, overall, the surroundings are very pleasant for relaxing and disconnecting.

United KingdomI waited a long time to write this review because I didn’t want to leave a negative one since people around were good people , we liked them. However. It was a bit of a disaster from the start. And because we spent most of our money on this accommodation, we couldn’t leave to go to a better place for us. We expected kind of a glamping for the price paid ; nothing special. But what we got was an unfinished wooden house without curtains (finally I could’ve had the best sleep of my life with no traffic noise and I couldn’t because sun shone in from early morning). It also came with a bathroom except toilet stopped working . At first it was just dripping and leaking all night - 1-2 meters away from our pillow mind you -, then we couldn’t flush it. By then it barely bothered me we had to bag for new towels (we used to catch the leaking toilet water ) etc. About 2-3 days and some cryings and breakdowns later they moved us to a much better hut next door , which was exactly what we expected to begin with . It had a few hooks for towels , a chair , curtains and working toilet . We would’ve scored 10/10 if we were going there in a first place . To be fair we would have been bored by the end of it : not much to do after day 3: lake had rubbish so didn’t dare to swim . Shala river trip Was nice but we were asked to come back after a few hours . Way too short . And couldn’t really hike much there . Basically we just had breakfast, went back to the wooden hut where I felt like an awful person not being able to enjoy myself in what looked like paradise , then went back for dinner . We also thought that customer service needs to be fine tuned in general . It was wonderful people helping us but we always felt we were sort of bothering when asking for stuff (coffee, beer). A “hey guys do you need anything?” would’ve been nice. But no shade we liked everyone. It could’ve been awesome but we don’t feel it was fully ready for tourists .
The lake, the location was breathtaking. Truly one of the most magnificent places I’ve ever been . Staff were friendly and tried to help Nice food

ThailandIt was extremely hot when we were there, with no place to escape. The rooms, though charming - looking, were so hot it was difficult to sleep and there was no place to sit on the terrace. More comfortable seating options in the cafe would’ve helped since we spent a lot of time there reading and soaking up the scenery. Sadly, swimming didn’t seem to be an option. It’s quite a scramble up and down the hill. If it would be possible to offer boat rides to nice swimming areas that would be fun. Through no fault of theirs, the beautiful lake has trash floating in the water.
We loved the scenery, quiet, home-cooked food, and welcoming family atmosphere of Twin Villas. They created a mister around the cafe to help with the heat on our second day.

NetherlandsThe reality of what the property offers versus what we got was quite different. Swimming is almost impossible as there is so much plastic floating in the water (not their fault) and also there is no pier or way to easily get in and out. There is quite a steep scramble up to the property with no real stairs and then once there, there is no WiFi so you need to come prepared for the heat and just to read books or play cards. Which can be super fun but we were not prepared for that and I don’t think our teenagers would have enjoyed.
Very rustic, quite an adventure to get there and a beautiful view once on top. Chalets are neat and tidy and modern. The food was really good.
