Reviews of Stomici Guesthouse

In a village house surrounded by gigantic mountains they provided us a very nice guest room meeting all our expectations: comfortable double bed, linen, blankets, towels, private toilet and bathroom. All clean and tidy. Host is very friendly and helpful. In the morning we we got a very tasty breakfast. It was an absolutely positive experience staying at Stomici guesthouse.

Breakfast was delicious, Pjeter and his mother were very hospitable sharing fresh fruit and cheese from their cows and garden. Truly a very warm welcome, with a host who enjoys running a guesthouse and welcoming visitors to his home. Excellent location close to the Blue Eye, the river, and the major hikes in Theth.

Our stay was just perfect. We will definitely come back ! Thank you :-)

Very good location for walking at early morning to the amazing blue eye

I think the main place of the guest-house is doing renovation now so there is just one room, and it is without good windows

The views from the property are unreal, surrounded by mountains and trees. The hosts were really lovely, made us lots of coffees and were very accommodating. Pedro and his mother Maria were great to talk to and had lots of good stories. If you are going to stay in this area, you can’t miss this guesthouse.

The owners are really nice, the place is clean and locared in an area with beautiful view and close to blue eye lake. Breakfast was excellent. Price could be a bit lower as for the albanian standards

Delicious Albania breakfast. Very friendly and welcoming owners. The location is perfect for exploring the blue eye and waterfalls. The views from the Guest house garden are absolutely stunning. Definately are very warm Albania experience.

Frequent power cuts in the area, and the water pressure in the bathroom wasn't very good. The local mini market in Theth village is crazy expensive so be sure to stock up on supplies before arriving. The local ATM in Theth charges a €45 withdrawl fee, so bring cash.

Great location, walking distance from the Blue eye and the waterfalls. The breakfast was good and the views very nice. The room was big. The WiFi worked well

It didn’t feel very clean, the shower screen had a lot of limescale, there were bottles of shampoo and even a shower sponge ( from previous guests?). The electric plugs in the room were in strange locations. The lights on the side tables operated with batteries and neither of them had battery. The small kitchen area was old and very dirty, the same with the fridge. We didn’t use it. We stayed two nights and ran out of toilet paper and when we asked for more, they said they didn’t have , and gave us napkins. The staff was very friendly and always with a smile , but didn’t speak English, so it was difficult to communicate. The first night we asked for dinner, but it looked like they didn’t offer and told us ( with indications) to go to another place, which was closed. It looks like some restaurants only open for high season ( July/August). We paid €65 per night, which was more than what we spent if other cities in Albania , and we had less comfort. However, I wonder if the prices are higher due to the remote location.

Pietro and his family were incredible - amazing hosts! The views around are gorgeous, the whole family so friendly. The room was big with AC and bathroom clean. The location is perfect if you're visiting blue eye (though quite far from the Theth -> Valbona pass but Pietro organised transport for us to the trailhead). Wish we could have stayed longer!

We absolutely adored this property. We had just finished our hike from Valbone to theth and this was the perfect place to relax, either in the garden or by the close by river. The family running the place were lovely and attentive.

Everything was perfect

Nice, clean and quiet room in a beautiful old house placed in the heart of the mountains. You can relax in the beautiful garden while enjoying the tasty albanian breakfast. From the accommodation you can easily walk to the blue eye and many other amazing places and it’s a short car drive to Theth. Especially the owners are absolutely fantastic! A very lovely family who truly tries to make the best out of your stay! We would definitely come back and can highly recommend this place!

EVERYTHING. Location is perfect, you can walk to the Blue eye and the restaurants nearby. The hosts are the kindest souls EVER. The mom of our host did not speak english, still, she sat with us and tried to communicate with us. Sweetest lady. Our Host spoke English and was extremely friendly. So friendly, he has a special place in our heart now. He sat with us, drank with us and he even sat down with us to play UNO. He never played UNO in his life before, so we taught him how to play it and he enjoyed it a lot. He even won multiple times :) He shared stories with us and was extremely keen on helping us with everything. We only spent one night here, but I wish we could have spent more. This place is healing.

The host is super nice. The room is very comfortable. The location of the guest house is perfect to do the Blue eye hicking only 10 minutes walk to the beginning of the trail. Breakfast was very good 😊

Location is right next to the blue eye trail and room had air conditioning, full bathroom and breakfast.

There was a scorpion in our room unfortunately also I saw a cockroach but the room itself wasn't particularly unclean I'd chalk it up to living in the mountains.

Owner is very nice and attentive. He would try speaking both in English and Spanish plus spending time and getting to know customers. Breakfast was copious, as well as dinner.

Piotr and his family were amazing hosts - welcoming, friendly, genuinely lovely people. The views from the property were incredible! Excellent breakfast sourced from the property was a bonus. Only ~10-15m from Theth, and located within walking distance to the Blue Eye as well as several restaurants. The AC worked great as well! It was great to have a fridge to store supplies/drinks etc. The road was paved up until the last 100m.

The wifi in the room was experiencing an issue while we were there, but there was still wifi available at the property.

Nice local guest house. We stayed in a room with private bathroom. It was enough for the days we stayed in theth. We had a good homemade breakfast. Surrounded by nature. Theth is 15 min away with car, with only the last 50m being gravel path. Free parking is possible directly in front of the property. The place is very good located between the blue eye and waterfall. We hiked to both at the same day. At night, you get really clear skies to watch the stars.

We had one of the best stay ever, the place is wonderful and Piotr is a magmificant host and human been. The location is surrounded by mountains, with the river near by. There is a v good restaurant near by (Samuel) with delicios food and fair prices. The breakfast at this location was amazing: fresh eggs, fresh orange juice, home made bread, good vegetables. The entire family is so special, always smiling, always going the extra mile to help. Thank you for your hospitality! A big hug from us!
