Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPractically up a mountain, with a taxi being €15 to go from the harbour to the hotel (4 min ride). Cash only bar, takes almost an hour to make any sort of food.

NetherlandsThe toilet refused to flush 3 times. The drain of the shower is clogged, flooding the room with water. At the pool food ordered and 2 hours have to wait, after asking again, for a Pasta that is not as described. Furthermore, a great stay.

IrelandWe had issues with the toilet and water from the day we checked in. The taps didn’t work half the time and the other half the toilet wouldn’t flush (staff always sorted it out but was inconvenient). The pool water was unclean looking and the pool area was so slippy. The lift felt very old and unkept and was very small, we were too afraid to use it. The walk to and from the beach was a series of very steep hills which meant we were left paying for taxis even though the hotel is advertised at 400m away from the beach.
The staff were very nice and helpful. The view from the room was really wonderful.

AlbaniaThe first think they fool you about the room. We choose a quadruple room with terrace but the terrace is not private is a sharing place. They tell you 10 min walk to the city but that is not true is more than that and hard to walk.Everything was outdate. Not too much space for parking every time we needed to go out the needed to move cars around,at our last day they wake us up at 7AM to move our car. The pool has sign for no jumping and diving but no one was falling the rules, kids were jumping non stop, we just try the pool for an hour. Our bathroom had a leak and the floor was wet all the time. They had a small fridge that wasn’t working right and froze our drinks.
Sorry, but there is nothing much to like. The only thing was the cleaning services. The room was cleaned every day.

United KingdomThe hotel states it is 400m from the beach it fails to mention the incredible steep hill you need to climb to return to the hotel. This hotel is only suitable for the fittest. The pool was out of action for nearly all our stay. There were no taxis outside the hotel.

PortugalDisclaimer: This review is for a stay in October (low season), probably during high season, things are different. Some of the reasons we booked this place were the pool and the breakfast (not free, but for 1 EUR, according to Booking) and neither of them was available. I wish I knew this in advance because then I would have much more similar options to compare with. The place is not far from the center (10-15 minutes walking), but you must climb a huge hill with some dark places at night (which may seem unsafe but it's actually okay after you get used to it). There are no doors/curtains in the shower so the bathroom gets soaked.
Ana and the men who received us (who doesn't speak English) are very nice people! Not to mention the cutest dog on the property, Liza. The view from the balcony is wonderful. The price was good and the room was fine, with WiFi, a minibar, and a hairdryer. Parking inside, elevator. Flexible check-out.

SpainWhen we reached they told us thay paying with card we would have an extra fee of...6% if i remember correctly, so we asked to pay in cash but needed to withdraw first, and the closest ATM was at 10min of hills away...so asked to pay in the afternoon, we were staying 4 nights so we were not going anywhere else, and they had my info via Booking and a copy of my passport...but not enough for them, they took my passport until i pay, which at least for me is amazing and illegal in my country. Breakfast at 8:30am, in a city that awakens much earlier. We were going kayaking very soon so asked for a picnic at 7:30 and the woman saw it unconcivable, even when i asked for a simple apple to take away. No is no. Amazing, in any other hotel this happened before to me. And finally, the last morning, i asked for toilet paper at 9:30 and at 10:30 not only i still hadnt the toilet paper, but the same woman came to my room and told me that checkout was at 10:30 and i had to leave. Checkout at 10:30? Ok, but maybee i needed the toilet paper to finish my work and leave, uh?
The pool.

RomaniaThe access to the property is VERY difficult, wether by foot or by car. So be careful when booking if this is a no for you. Very poor wifi. Not working at the 6th floor and even in the common areas most of the time. The door of the balcony was broken and it took them 2 days to fix it. We had to use a window to get to the balcony. Few parking spots, not enough for all guests. We had to move our car 2 times in one night. Evan though the restaurant should be open until 10.30 pm, it was closed at 9.30 pm one night. So we had to go to the market and buy some stuff. When having the snacks on the empty terrace they told us it was forbiden. Inflexible manager. After 3 days, of such bad experience, when we refused to continue our stay, she tried to force the payment on my credit card. Thank God the transaction was refused by the bank. I do not recommend this location for the price they ask for. I would think twice even staying for free. 😬
The pool is ok. The restaurant and the terrace have nice architecture and are cosy. The younger staff is really polite and helpful.

AustraliaVery dirty pool, can't even count the times I had to pull hair out from my fingers and weird stuff was floating around. We only used the pool once for 10 minutes because of that. Also was said that we can get towels near the pool but at the end they didn't have anything and reception said I can use my hotel towels and when we arrived to the pool they said we can't use the room towels?!?! Travelling with a small luggage I really don't carry my own towels. I wish room had some water boiling possibilities. Very pool breakfast. Eating 3 days in a row bread and huge pieces of tomatoes and some very sweet cake was not really nice. Location is definitely not for older individuals unless you want to pay taxi money all the time. Very very steep walk up there. Very very very noisy because you can hear the music from the city to the room. I think there is a law that loud music needs to stop by 23:30 so at least it's not all night.
Beautiful big room with a balcony facing the sea! Amazing view!! Reception staff was very nice! That's about it.

PolandThis was the worst (and also the most expensive) hotel during our stay in Albania (we have stayed in five different hotels). Room and balcony were not clean well. Beds were not comfortable. But the most terrible were breakfasts - stale bread and cakes, indrinkable coffee, every day the same products (only milk with cornflakes was ok). The swimming pool bar was very expensive.
Pool and view from balcony. Our room was ready earlier.

DenmarkWe found the room to be a bit dirty. And very humid. Much more humid than the rest of Albania. Also they say there is parking, but there isnt enough parking spaces, so we couldnt be sure if we would get a spot. It often ended up in a car-tetris-game, where people parked so that others couldnt get out, and then the satff just knew which car belonged to what room, and then everybody were woken up at 8, so that the car parked furthest from the road could get out
The pools are quite nice. And the view from the breakfast restaurant

GermanyThe family room was particularly old. It was not well cleaned. The bathroom was full of hairs all kind from the guests before. The airconditioning must have been at least 20 years old not working properly. Not even a bottle water or something was provided in the room, nothing. But everywhere warnings that outside food and drinks are not allowed. Also they forbid the hotels towels in the pool area, but do not provide pool towels. For 125€ a night that was a pretty low range stay. Ok for one night, but thats it. Also cash only. All drinks & food in the hotel must be paid cash.
The view is stunning and the pool area is very nice. Also that we could check in 2 hrs earlier was a plus.

IrelandPoor breakfast, short serving time. 8.30 till 10.00. Stopped to refill at 9.25, we came for breakfast at 9.30 and just had left overs , no breads anymore, no eggs, hard sausages.. My wife asked to refill they said no. Bar staff called Ronaldo didn’t gave me changes about the drinks that I got, and all the time offering drugs (cocaine) to me. I was having a relax time seated in the pool couch with my wife and this guy just seated in our table saying weird things to us, we felt very uncomfortable with him. He even kind of threatened when I said about my change, left almost 60 euros with him because didn’t want trouble. Completely unacceptable. Stay away of this guy.
Pool area was nice, great location, reception staff were very kind. Room was clean, room view was awesome!

Norway-a lot of stairs, it was'nt a problem for us until we left, carring all our luggage up to the reseption in the heat though🥵 -the pool in 3 floors made it hard to watch 2 active kids that cannot swim at the same time The breakfast was the worst part!! I brought my own cereals. -couldn't stand that there is legal to smoke where they serve breakfast (but they are allowed everywhere in Albania) There was a dog walking around even in the breakfast area, he also had his own bowl with food. ( my kids where afraid of him, even though he was innocent) If your allergic you shouldnt stay here😆 The staff where putting food with thair hands. The woman wich i guess own the place tryed to be nice, but took some food with here hands and gave it to my son and ask if he wanted this. (He told me after he didnt like that) I have an feeling that they just rinsed off cutlery, cups and counters because a lot of it was dirty. The food was also poor, and nothing without cakes was in a heater. Felt dangerous to eat meat and eggs that was in a bowl in more than 30°c.
For us it was close to the beach, 10-15min walking with the kids. Big enough room for 2 adult and 2 children. Quiet beacause its not in the center of the town, had a great view from the restaurant. The Staff where very friendly. We had 2 great days there even though we had higher hopes for this place.
