The central location comes with music, but that didn’t stop our enjoyment of staying here.

Central location is great. The staff are unbelievably welcoming and helpful. Very clean and comfortable and great breakfast. They gave us a delicious take away breakfast when we set off early for Theth.

For a hotel rated this highly on booking, this place was a bit shocking for me. Maybe because it is off shoulder season but the room was very bare, no basic amenities like hair dryer, glass/mug, toilet mat etc that adds a bit of comfort to the stay. The curtains in my room didn't open either. There was also no elevator so had to carry bags up and down and the service in general was a bit lax. Compared to the other 10 hotels I've stayed in Albania, this felt a bit on the lower end of things!

The location is very central which is helpful if you have a short trip. The beds were comfortable too! It is on the most lively street of shkoder so there can be alot of music and noise till late so if that bothers you, bring ear plugs!

The room was very basic, there wasn't even a kettle or fridge.

The staff was very helpful and spoke English, and even went out of their way to make an early breakfast since I was leaving the hotel early for day trips out of the city. The room was clean and located right in the middle of town.

The bathroom - it’s clean and everything works but very poorly designed. As a result, the floor gets flooded, the toilet paper sopping and you can’t dry your feet inside the bathroom. First world problem really because the hotel is doing its best to provide a good experience

The bathroom department could use an upgrade. The warm water could be a bit hotter, drainage a bit better. Also, the room was spotless, the bathroom a bit less so. A few more sockets to charge your phone and such next to the bed would have been nice too.

Location is very convenient, staff very very friendly and helpful. The hotel is on a lively street, perfect if you want to be in the midst of it all. If not, choose a street thats a bit more removed from open cafés till midnight. The windows do hold the noise out quite well.

The hotel was right on the Main promenade with restaurants and shops… market and a pharmacy beside hotel. The room was super nice and clean, and Xhordana made my stay so much better. He was very helpful, friendly, and spoke excellent English

Right on the pedestrian strip in the middle of all the restaurants and bars but not noisy at all. Excellent large room and shower at a very reasonable price. I had a motorcycle so I could ride up the strip and park outside the hotel but they have other parking for cars just off the strip. Super helpful stalk who are all multilingual and a great breakfast downstairs.

Hotel Durham is in the best location in the pedestrian area of town amongst restaurants, cafes, jewellers bakery’s etc.
