How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Parking is a bit challenging in the area, but that's more an Albanian issue. Max will help you with parking :)
We had an very nice stay in Skhoder - Max helped us with parking and welcoming us. The apartment is a 5-10 minutes walk to the very cozy city center of Skhoder. The apartment is spacious and clean and has a well functioning air-conditioning to survive the hot Albanian summer days :)

We loved everything
Fantastic appartement, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and excellent location. Max, the host, is very kind and welcoming. He organised tickets to the Shala River and was very reactive at all times. Thank you to Max, his wife and Shira for a wonderful stay 😊 I highly recommend this address….

Max was a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. He gave us loads of great tips for restaurants and things to do. The apartment itself is lovely - very big with great aircon, excellent kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds, nice balcony, perfect. The parking is also very convenient and straightforward. The location is excellent, very central but still quiet. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Shkodër.

Very nice apartment with everything you need. We only had an afternoon in Shkoder but thanks to the wonderful tips of the owner we made the most out of it.

It was a wonderful experience staying in an apartment within a beautiful house. The place features vintage decor and provides all the services you need, including free parking, the location fantastic (9 minutes to center) The host is very helpful and attentive to all the details of the stay, and he sent me many beautiful places to visit in Shkodra.

The mattress on one of the beds was a bit softer than my preference, but I still slept very well.
Amazing apartment and very warm, hospitable, and friendly host who helped us arrange an affordable transfer to Montenegro. We loved the place and were sad to stay only 2 nights. It was a shame to leave so soon. Everything within walking distance, a grocery store close by, a park, perfect stay for a family. We felt really safe and it was a calm street despite being so centrally located. And parking was great - not easy to find in Shkodra!

Our host was very helpful and kinda. He offered many recommendations for our stay and organised our transport to valbonë and looked after our car and belongings while we did the Valbonë>Theth hike. Great to have a washing machine and comfortable cool space.

Can't fault anything.
We stayed here for 3 nights and highly recommend. The property is in a perfect location, central but up a quiet street with cafes and supermarket close by. All facilities are present for cooking, coffee, laundry etc. The bed is comfortable, and the apartment is exceptionally clean, bright, and airy. Schkoder is a very cool town with plenty to do and attractions such as Komani Lake and Theth close by. Most importantly, we would like to commend the owner Max for his warmth, professionalism, and hospitality. He was very helpful in booking day trips, checking everything was good and bringing extra coffee pods! Just a really nice guy and family. This is how to run a property well. We really loved the apartment and the host Max. He was very kind and gave us a lot of tips! The apartment is located at a 8 minute walk from the restaurants and bars, a supermarket is close by and we could also leave the car here. We could do laundry, there was a kitchen and a fridge, the airconditioning works well and it was just perfectly complete. We liked it so much we booked an extra night after the Theth-Shkoder hike (which he arranged for us.) Thanks a lot Max and family and we would love to come again!
