  The Intercontinental was our favourite hotel on our trip to the States. It's a lovely hotel, very central, within walking distance to the centre of town. There was a hop on, hop off station nearby (we did the hop on, hop off), and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was incredible; there was so much food available, and we really got our fill, including those amazing beignets; I am still dreaming of them. And Curtis, who manned the omelet section, was such a lovely 'addition', always greeting everyone with a smile! We also found the staff very helpful, and the music added to the ambience. Our room was great, and the shower was amazing!

  Our only complaint was that the pillows were uncomfortable, but I must admit, we did not ask for them to be changed, so that's on us!

  Once we got checked in, which took a while, the room was not too bad. It did not meet the standard we had gotten used to in Washington and New Orleans, but it was very near Times Square and Central Park. The bed was not bad, and we slept fairly well. The bath was a bit off in that it made weird noises, but once you got the hot water going, the shower was lovely! Unfortunately we had not booked breakfast, but we found some nice delis nearby.

  The construction going on is very annoying, and we should have been warned in advance. Some of the staff were a bit distracted and you had to repeat your questions to get an answer. In fact, one of them actually turned her back to me, and her colleague had to ask her to help me

  Cut of timing is short 9 am it should serve till at least 10,00 am Specially in vegas people sleep late also need more toasters for bread you only have one and it takes time people were waiting get the bread toasterd . Rest is good

  Breakfast was a bit of a commotion with too many ppl and so little space and not enough staff to help refill. Also use of paper plates and plastic cups - maybe easy to clean up but in this day and age - it is almost criminal to generate so much plastic waste!!

  Old style hotel that needs more ventilation in lobby area. Queen size bed really only suitable for one person. Air conditioning unit very old and dated and so noisy. Too expensive for the room we got.
