  The hotel looked newer and was very bright and cheerful throughout. The front desk gal was sweet and helpful. I loved that the breakfast area had real dishes and silverware. Also, it was so convenient having the Outback Restaurant right next door after our long day at Yellowstone. Thanks for the coupon for a bloomin onion!

  Set in a nice location and beautiful grounds, the pool was very nice and we enjoyed using that. We stayed in the caretaker's cottage, nice decor in the rooms and it had everything apart from washing machine/dryer.

  The beds are not that comfortable and we felt that they could do with having a proper bed rather than cheap metal framed ones. The shower is not that great (we didn't use the bath). There were broken tiles and missing tile trims around the window in the bathroom. There are no curtains apart from one set in one bathroom, could do with one over the front and back doors for privacy and for the rest of the windows. The plumbing needs to be looked at, the kitchen sink backed up when we used the dishwasher which had a horrid smell and I believe the sink garbage disposal was not working which did not help. For the amount of money we paid we expected it to be in better condition and more premium beds etc.

  Room was clean. Room size was good. Tasty patries and coffee in the morning, with plenty of comfy places to sit and relax. Staff friendly and helpful.

  The hotel is dated and worn, marks on the walls. Its doesn't look like the photos anymore. Single glazing didn't keep noise out and I had the view of an alleyway sadly. The bar didn't appear to be open at any point, shame as seeing that in the photos was one of the reasons I booked. The location was sadly lacking in charm and quite a walk from lots of the places I wanted to visit. Not the hotels fault but the area was very run down - the local shopping centre was almost completely empty of shops. Many shops in Union Square were also closed down.

  The location was great. I loved that it was near a subway station. The fruit and bread they had for breakfast was yummy.

  We had to switch rooms twice. Once because the air conditioner was broken. And twice because the new room smelled really bad. Luckily, the manager was patient and gracious with us, it got resolved in no time!

  I had to clean the room, lots of dirt and dog hair on the floor and the cutlery was dirty. Air con is very noisy, we struggled to sleep as next door had theirs on all night. So if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs.
