- From £188.72 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 642 reviewsStunning location right in the mountains. The private honeymoon suite was outstanding. It was a separate, spacious bungalow furnished in a luxurious African style with sliding doors leading onto a private patio that faced the mountains. We could lie outside on loungers or lie in bed and look onto the uninterrupted view of the mountains. The room had a private bathroom with bath and shower, a dressing room, desk, lounge area, fridge and coffee/tea facilities. All were spotlessly clean and of a very high standard. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming and the food! The food was so delicious. There wasn’t a single meal I didn’t like, and they made all our favourite desserts! We had a lovely Swedish massage at the Wellness Centre which left us feeling very relaxed.Guest review byHirschAustralia
- From £78.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 541 reviewsWonderful place for a medium- to long-term getaway! Friendly reception, very clean and comfy accommodation with all amenities including a double(!) shower. Stunning view (if it isn't too hazy ;) and the ponies come up in the morning for a pat (and if you are not careful, to nibble on the things on your breakfast table...) We went for the breakfast and dinner option, which was delivered to the doorstep hot and on time, with a lot of love and attention going into the tasty food and its presentation.Guest review byFolkardLesotho
- From £63.27 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,889 reviewsEverything was absolutely fantastic! The staff, food, cleanliness, and the location. I'm a hiker, and the resort backed up onto the Drakensberg Gardens National Park, so many fantastic hikes. After a long day out on the trail, I could come back to a lovely room and relax, go to the sauna, or get a massage. Views were absolutely stunning! And if you have children, it's a fantastic place to take them: playground, swimming, canoeing on a safe pond, horseback riding, mini golf, zipline, etc, etc.Guest review byJosephineNetherlands

We've been coming to Champagne Valley for many years from when my children were small. Now we visit with their own children. The area is absolutely beautiful, and the view of the mountains is spectacular. However, a word of caution, the roads are in a terrible state, so driving a 4x4 is helpful.Guest review byAnabelSouth Africa - 8.0

We had lunch at the pig and plough, nice menu - slow service, however, we still enjoyed the food and the venue. The Thokozi restaurant and Deli, good food and a nice variety. Sandra se Winkel was an experience - well worth going to when you are in the area.Guest review bySimon Stewart BWBotswana - 10.0
Lots to see and do around town and on the meander.
Lots to see and do around town and on the meander. Staff from most shops seems knowledgable. Most experiences has to do with food and shopping (we aren't adventurers). All attractions are quite close to each other.Guest review byGustavSouth Africa - 8.0
Bergville is 'n pragtige plekkie.
Bergville is 'n pragtige plekkie. Soos met alle plekke in Suid Afrika tans, is die pad na en van Berville, vol slaggate en so ook in die dorp. Dit ten spyt, is dit die moeite werd om daarlangs te reis.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

There are several resorts and a number of smaller accommodations in this picturesque valley, a hotspot for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. It is close to the famous Sani Pass, where 4X4 enthusiasts can ascend one of the highest and most scenic trails in Southern Africa. The town has charming shops and eateries, and many of the resorts offer a host of activities, restaurants and outdoor adventure options.Guest review byT_M_S_MSouth Africa - 10.0

We had such a lovely time, from the accommodation, the staff, the food and surroundings were great. The only problem we had was that our shower was leaking in the bathroom, and the whole bathroom was under water. but the staff moved us to another room, the shower did not leak, but all the tiles was loose in this bathroom as well. Just think the bathrooms needs some maintenanceGuest review byRenetteSouth Africa - 6.0
I love the resort. Have been holidaying for over 15 years.
I love the resort. Have been holidaying for over 15 years. But the Front Office Manager with her Reception Staff do need training in Hospitality, extremely rude, unhelpful and no Guest Service centricity, this makes the stay distasteful and dampens your initial experience. The security Guard at the entrance was more pleasant and welcoming.Guest review byVeloshiniSouth Africa - 8.0
Beautiful part of the country.
Beautiful part of the country. Short drive to Nottingham Road, Spar, petrol station. It rained while we were there so we didn't get a chance to walk around. Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. We missed the TV but there is one in the lounge by receptionGuest review byAnonymousSouth Africa - 10.0

The drive there on a Friday and back to gauteng on a Sunday was peaceful, relaxed and meditative. The farmstalls are great stops even better than fuel stations for tasty biltong and home made food and south african made soaps and lotions. This road trip was so much funGuest review bySlosh
