Breakfast was very tasty and a large variety of choices, dinner was just as pleasant with a nice atmosphere. Gym was very clean and met all my needs. While checking out I asked how the Pass conditions were and staff called me about 30 minutes after I left with an up date of conditions which was above and beyond and I appreciated them listening to my concerns.

We were charmed with the hotel, from the warm reception when we arrived to the lovely self-service breakfast with homemade granola and yoghurt parfaits. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was very modern. The location in the center of the old town was perfect. We would return in a heartbeat.

The location and the building itself. The rooms are beautiful! We loved the architecture, especially the color of the wood. Such an inviting and cosy environment. We loved the size and cleanliness of the rooms and bathroooms as well as the view. We appreciated the breakfast.

Big comfy easy chair for reading by the window with a view of Mt Ashland. Down comforter on the bed. Awesome breakfast with lots of toppings for the oatmeal and Greek yogurt, yummm. Air filter in the room. Perfect ambient temperature for me - I didn't get too hot while sleeping. Just a few blocks to the shops and theaters. This place has a great OSF vibe with posters from over the years in the stairwells and it's clear that they have a long history of providing solid hospitality. It just feels good to stay here.

I liked that this hotel was in downtown. It's within walking distance of many restaurants downtown (just head north a block or two). Around the corner on the same block there is a great breakfast location (Buttercloud Bakery & Cafe) it has a great number of biscuits and eggs dishes. Overall I had no issues with the motel. It felt safe, was clean, staff were nice, and price was very reasonable.

The staff was exceptionally helpful, cheerful and friendly. Breakfast was fabulous. The room was very clean. the location was better than any of the places we've stayed in Ashland. We come to Ashland quite often and own properties there. Bard's Inn suited us even better than some of the more expensive places we've stayed there EVER!

Great walkable college town.

Great walkable college town. The Shakespear Festival and sell out, so if you know you're going, get tickets ahead of time! There is some classical music, symphony and chamber that may be happening on any weekend. Esp. chamber music. Go for a walk in the city park downtown. There are also other hiking and outdoors stuff in the surrounding area. Downtown is great. Good bookstore. Movie theater has some indie films.

The hotel that we stayed at was outdated, moldy, and stinky. The Chinese restaurant next it had server whom didn’t dress appropriately for their server role. Other than that, the Panda Express and the Walmart were great. Small town with small town vibes but no one was rude. I wouldn’t stay at Grants Pass again but will stay at a much higher rated hotel.

The hotel and casino people are power hungry. I asked what they needed to scan my drivers license for and if they had a privacy policy, they said they were a tribe and they don't have to care about that kind of thing. They evicted me for asking! For a year!

Very few places to eat that were open in Shady Cove.

Very few places to eat that were open in Shady Cove. The best likely place to eat in Shady Cove is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mac's Diner adjoins the motel. Was looking forward to eating there but it was not available during my stay. This should be noted on the Restaurant's website and the Motel could also mention this fact on their website since the restaurant is adjacent to the motel.

I was charged twice for the room.

I was charged twice for the room. When I booked the room on 8-20- the charge of 129.00 was taken out of my account. when I arrived at the motel on 8-25 the lady taking care of me wanted my credit card to process a payment, I told her it was already paid for when I booked the room. She said oh no you have to paid us and process the payment again. when another employee came in she told her that she didn't have to do that, because the room was already paid for. When I got home I check my account was there was 2 charges on my account one for 129.00 on 8-20 and one on 8-25. I called the motel and the lady verfied that I was charged twice and she would get back to me. She didn't so I called back this afternoon and the lady said I had to call back later that some one was coming in to correct it, and hang up on me, before she hang up I did get in that If they reverse it I would call our vise company, and she hang up.

Medford itself is a middle sized city with all the stores you might wish for but not a lot of character that I could see in the downtown area. However, it makes an excellent affordable launching pad for exploring the nearby artisan colony/ Shakespeare festival in Ashland and the nearby wine country in surrounding areas. We are at Ruby's (good burritos and burgers) and Rooted (plant based delicious food). Would definitely come again.
