- From US$369.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.8Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 4,574 reviewsI love this hotel. The location was fantastic. The reviews on this hotel had me nervous about my stay but given the time of year it was the best value hotel and location was great so we booked it. I am so glad we did. I think the reviews are very harsh. I am very fussy when it comes to hotels and I loved this hotel. Housekeeping phoned the room the days we had the do not disturb sign on the door and checked to see if we wanted the room cleaned or not. The staff were so helpful. I kept getting an error from booking.com saying my card details were invalid and to update them or we would lose the booking. This error occurred several times despite checking there were no issues with our bank and the hotel directly. I got this message again just before our flight so emailed the hotel to confirm there are no issues with the card and not to cancel the booking. They confirmed this was not an issue on their side and all was OK. On check in we were looked after by Adam who was so lovely and helpful during our stay. The rooms are so comfy and clean. The air con and heating all worked perfectly. There are no coffee machines in the room but this did not bother us in the slightest as there is a starbucks right beside the hotel and also a Duane Read so is handy for picking up late night snacks after a busy day sightseeing. The TV had lots of channels which was ideal for when we wanted a break from sight seeing to watch a few world cup games. Cannot wait to stay again.Guest review bySarahIreland
- From US$743 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,823 reviewsBooked an overnight at the Arlo while visiting with family about an hour out of town. My husband and I wanted to have a nice mini getaway while staying closer to downtown (last time we'd chosen to base ourselves in Brooklyn) and I was surprised at the fairly reasonable rate for Soho! We knew we'd arrive earlier than check in and had planned to just leave our bags and loop back to check in, so were delighted when the front desk let us know our room was actually ready! The room itself (a King standard) is tiny, but I knew that when I booked. Was just looking for a comfy clean spot to rest our heads after touring about the city and this does exactly that - the beds are soft and fluffy and the room has a modern, fresh design. Other highlights = the stylish lounge and super convenient 24 hour store/coffees downstairs - the croissants in the morning were perfection! It was winter so we couldn't avail ourselves of the rooftop but that also looked really awesome. Overall, great stay and wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff!Guest review byAvrilCanada
- From US$330 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 771 reviewsNeeded a hotel prior to flight back from JFK. Originally thought of Central New York but this hotel was just perfect! It's the right side for JFK, it's right on the beachfront, it's comfortable, views are spectacular and the staff wonderful. 2 different receptionists (sorry didnt get their names) - friendly and efficient. Restaurant colleague Anny - LOVELY, and Lois - so friendly and willing to try to speak UK english! Great fun Bartender Christian - good service and purveyor of good conversation and local informationGuest review byJohnUnited Kingdom
- From US$662.44 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,367 reviewsThe William Vale is my favorite spot in NYC. The view from every room is incredible and the staff are the sweetest. I love staying there, I always feel at home. The Neighbourhood is so alive! A few blocks from Greenpoint and the Ferry to the City or Dumbo. I enjoy the terrasse in the summer time and the view from the roof restaurant in the winter. I would recommanded it for a family trip and a romantic stay.Guest review byoliviaCanada

Inhouse cafe was convenient, with hot and cold drinks and food available all day. In all areas of the hotel the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Christmas tree and decorations were festive and opulent.Guest review bySaraUnited Kingdom

Room with balcony and pool view was lovely - clean, modern, comfortable. Room cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Price was very reasonable compared to other hotels that are just average for the same price. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends&family.Guest review byGráinneIreland

We absolutely loved our trip to New York City!
We absolutely loved our trip to New York City! The city had such amazing energy and there was always something to see or do around every corner. The subways were surprisingly clean and easy to navigate once we got the hang of them and we didn’t see a single rat! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, which made exploring even better. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!Guest review byEllaUnited States - 10.0

From the periodic information passengers were able to get my United flight to Portland Maine was repeatedly delayed and then cancelled because the plane would not be able to land once it arrived. Apparently the problems on 4 September were building up throughout the day. Before the flight from LA landed my daughter in Sydney, Australia messaged me to tell there were ”shenanigans” at Newark.Guest review byMargaretAustralia - 2.0

Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. I texted the person back that I’m not interested because I feel uncomfortable and have asked for a refund of $203. Shiiii….Guest review byPhilip - 10.0

We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.Guest review byCornelius - 10.0

Nice secure area, mind the pavements they may be bumpy (though getting fixed from time to time), close to NYC, tunnel takes its time but was never extreme, nice small neighborhoods, great view on NYC, nice shopping (mall, low price shops, dine-in)Guest review byVividAustria - 10.0

After landing at Liberty, we rented a car for our tours of NYC. Finding and paying for parking in NYC was a difficulty I could live without. Fortunately, most tolls were paid with the car rental agreement. The Secaucus location was perfect for driving, but the buses stop right outside the hotel. If it were available to guests, more information on bus routes to the City's main attractions, as well as details on paying for bus and subway toll passes and wheelchair accessibility, would be helpful and might change how a traveler chooses to get around.Guest review byReyesUnited States - 6.0
parking should be free its customers.
parking should be free its customers. It cost us an extra $100 which we were unaware of the daily price of parking until we got the charge. There was nothing showing how much it will cost us for parking - transparency. towels / wash clothes seem to be in short supply ever time we asked, so we had to keep going back / forth. Staff was great in their jobs / helpful. Location was great.Guest review byBdaonionBermuda - 6.0
