We stayed in the Queen Studio Suite which was huge and perfect for 1 night and even more depending on your group size. Since we were 2 adults and 3 children it was a very good room but we did not open the sofa for just 1 night so we had lots of room. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was nice and the kids loved the make your own waffles with wiped cream and sprinkles. We also enjoyed the small pool.

We were looking for a hotel close to the Disney parks (but not a Disney hotel itself). Homewood Suites in Flamingo Crossings is ideally located for trips to the Disney parks (we visited MK and AK). The hotel and the whole area are pretty new. The staff was really nice, the room was spacious & clean and all facilities were well-maintained (especially the pool was really nice after a long day in the park). Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Diverse Sunshine State of Disney

The Sunshine State – Florida – has so much going for it that we hardly know where to begin! From Key West all the way to Jacksonville and Pensacola, this diverse state has magnificent beaches attracting beautiful people and exotic wildlife.

At its tip are the incredible Everglades, largely accessible only by air boat. East, Miami is known for its Latin American vibe and the Art Deco buildings of glamorous Miami Beach. Fort Lauderdale is nicknamed ‘Venice of America', while Palm Beach hosts the annual SunFest music festival. Panama City is a favourite Florida spring break destination, and Tampa has popular party spot Ybor City and Busch Gardens, one of many Florida theme parks.

The most famous are of course Walt Disney World, Epcot, SeaWorld and Universal Studios Florida. Orlando and neighbours Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista house a wealth of Florida hotels near Disney parks. South-west in Winter Haven is Cypress Gardens, while to the east is the Kennedy Space Centre, on an island by Cape Canaveral.

North is Daytona, best known for high-octane motorsports and a wonderful Atlantic beach.     Perfect for a family getaway while in the Keys during low season (we can imagine how crowded this must get), conveniently located mid-way if you consider taking a break before Key West or going back to Miami- the unit that we were staying at was fully renovated and facing the water, away from the main resort building- which allowed us to see beautiful sunsets in a perfectly quiet environment as well as conveniently located walking distance from one of the restaurant and the kids pool.

    I always love to visit Orlando and have been multiple times!! This particular visit was a bucket list vacation gift from my dad for our family. We visited Disney World & Universal Studios for a week. The new EPIC park at Universal Studios is a smaller park, but a definite & exciting must see. It was easy to get around Orlando, however, there are lots of toll roads and traffic peak times vary. The rainy weather can put a damper on certain outdoor activities and rides at the theme parks but there are always lots of indoor activities until the rain subsides. There's lots of local shopping, restaurants, souvenir shops and site seeing to do. Along International Drive, near the convention center, there are lots of places to visit like ICON Park for The Wheel, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the SEA LIFE Aquarium, Topgolf, WonderWorks and Ripley's Believe It or Not! Cocoa Beach and other beaches are not too far off the beaten path. There's fun for every age. I will warn you to check with the visitor's center to ask when the European crowd will be in Orlando. Their school breaks are very different than our typical American summer and holiday breaks; and their presence can affect crowd sizes and wait times.     It's a perfect beach holiday Not all that geared up for kids Lots of events going on but more for adults Millions of places to eat, everywhere we chose to eat was lovely, I doubt you would find a bad place. We did the open top tour and boat trip, both good but make sure you know the difference between booking the hop on hop off or continuous tour

    First of all we enjoyed the beautiful view of the beach from our balcony and taking a morning walk on the beach . St. Andrew’s State Park is a great place to visit where you can relax and pick up sea shells and maybe see an Ice Cream boat come by. The Turtle Girls is a great place for a little shopping . If you would like a great place to have breakfast , need to try “ Sunnyside Grill”.

    It is great the weekend I went had a great air show with Blue Angels flying in the sky. It adheres to multiple vibes even the club scene to go dancing or the family- bike rentals are available enough restaurants on the strip and one of the Best Pizza shops in Broward not like Chicago or New York pizza but still good and large in serving.

    It's a great city with lots to see. From The Sea Aquarium to The Hard Rock hotel and casino and of course Bush Gardens. The best retail therapy with Hyde Park and International Plaza. The traffic was crazy there. I thought Orlando was bad this city might be a little worse. You'd better be in the right lane for turning or you'll never get in.

    It is a bigger city than I realized and more spread out so I found that staying in northern Jacksonville was not the right area of the city for me and I ended up having to do a lot of driving. I think I prefer the southern Jacksonville, Nocatee, Jax beach or Ponte Vedra beach areas.

    Personally, I am very easy to please, and Kissimmee was exactly what my family needed. The attractions are conveniently located. Aquatica water park was only a 20-minute drive, and SeaWorld was just in between. The Old Town House is adorable and caters to all types of people. My family truly enjoyed every moment of our trip.

    This was our first trip to Destin.

    This was our first trip to Destin. The beaches are beautiful and not over crowded. There were many great places to eat, we enjoyed Parlor Donuts, Beignet and Brews, Lulus, and the Backporch. Also great shopping. We did a lot school clothes shopping while we were there. Both Destin Commons and Destin Outlets had great stores. We also went to the Gulfarium and our girls did the Penguin Encounter which was a lot of fun for them. Oveall, we had a great trip and are already planning our next to Destin.
