Located in the center of Death Valley National Park, it's the perfect base for discovering the National Park. We decided spontaneously at lunchtime to stay the night and the front-office staff was super nice and patient about us making the booking via booking.com instead with them directly. Despite check-in time being at 4pm, they gave us the room at 12:30 already. Super friendly people! The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean, nicely furnished, with a small outside sitting area with 2 wooden rocking chairs, facing the garden. The property is very cute, in the style of an old ranch with multiple buildings (a general store, restaurant, ice cream shop, museum, an outside exhibition area of mining equipment which is available to everyone). We took the buffet dinner and were pleasantly surprised: there was quite a variety of food to choose from and all was tasty! Also, we liked that the cutlery and dishes were not one-time use.

Karen is a really nice person. The house is very spacious and the kitchen is well stocked. Absolutely peaceful area near Death Valley, I had no trouble finding the place thanks to the GPS coordinates. At night the sky is mind-blowing, plenty of stars.

Even though we arrived a little late in the evening, the explanations sent by the host in advance were really helpful and we could access our cabin without any difficulties. We really enjoyed the common facilities and the spirit that the host gave to the place! We were alone with only one other friendly couple, so the evening was very quiet and enjoyable. The beds were comfortable and all bedding was clean. We only stayed one night and did not use the bathroom, but the fake snake in front of it freaked us out in the night with our flashlights and we laughed a lot about it the following morning ! :)

Was super simple to get in, host sent really helpful pics explaining it. Cabin was perfect for relaxing for the night and it was packed full of utensils and anything else you'd need if you want to cook yourself. The bed is super comfy.

Having stayed in multiple similar establishments in California on our trip, this was the best value for money by far; Extra large, comfortable, spotless rooms with a nice bathroom, fridge and television. Excellent, friendly staff who are open to chatting about the surroundings of Beatty, whether it be life in the desert, Death Valley NP, or the wild donkeys that roam about the streets. We had the (cold) breakfast included, which was substantial enough and made for a great start to our day; tea/coffee, bear claws and similar pastries, hard-boiled eggs, fruit-flavoured yoghurts, orange juice, granola bars, etc. - perfect. We stayed here after comparing it with far more expensive accommodation options in or near Death Valley NP on the Californian side, and remain delighted with our choice. Death Valley Inn & RV Park is under an hour's drive from Furnace Creek Visitors' Centre, the perfect starting point for a trip to Death Valley NP - it is the perfect stop on the way to/from this National Park or to/from California/Nevada.

I visited 12 years ago and it's still the same. You do not go there for a 5 star experience but for the quirkiness and atmosphere. Haunting history, great guided tour of the opera house, location in the middle of nowhere. I think it's a must do if you are

There were some incredible views at some of the main locations. Unfortunately, there was flash flooding the day before we arrived and many of the roads were closed, with the exception of the main roads. If you hike one day in the park is not enough. I will return and spend 2 days, although I don't hike much.

I like being able to tune into the NHL playoff game between the Oilers and Golden Knights at the local bar. That was a big game and that meant a lot to me. I also enjoyed eating pizza during the game.

Pahrump is a bit of a drive from Las Vegas but it is worth the drive if you want to leave the glitz behind. We were in the area for the Ron Fellows Driving School but we did try to explore the area while we were there. One big negative for us was that only 1 casino offers table games and those are limited.

My son and I were doing a driving tour through the western states when we stopped here. This was one of our favorite places. We had stayed at some pretty upscale places, but having previously frequently traveled, camping our way across the country. I think that this was one of our top stops!

The town itself is nothing special, but if you don't want to stay in the park this is the closest town. There are several other larger towns within reasonable driving distance if you want more restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The main reason to be here is to visit Death Valley National Park -- which is beyond amazing. El Valle Mexican restaurant (which is really in Amargosa Valley, NV) is really good.

Unique place - it includes 'Badwater Basin' - about 30 mins' drive from the Inn at Death Valley. Badwater Basin is the lowest point in the whole of North America and is 85 metres BELOW sea level. A massive salt flat stretching as far as the eye can see and very, very hot in July. Death Valley area also includes Zabriskie Point overlooking the Bad Lands of the desert. We came upon it by chance on the way to the Inn (10-15 mins up the road) and stopped off to walk the short 'stroll' in the afternoon heat to the viewpoint. Very well worth the effort!

We were looking for a one night stay and had never visited Pahrump before. We had all of our meals at a Denny's not far from our motel and the food was good and the staff were very pleasant. Gas prices were much better than Northern Nevada.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities for campers were very basic, just restrooms and a couple of showers. The restroom buildings were tired and needed a good refurb, and they also needed a good clean.

There is not much if anything here but that is what you come here for. It's an old motel, with an amazing story, that could use a bit of TLC but the rooms are clean, the air conditioning works, and the water was hot in the shower. A great place to stay and show the photos to your friends.
