We stayed at the Dhow for 2 nights and were in love with the place: excellent location at Nungwi beach - far from the noise of other hotels which makes you feel like you are on a private beach; delicious breakfasts and other meals for very reasonable prices; sea shore line; stylish design and use of nature to make it stand out; spacious rooms; and of course the owner of the hotel who makes everyone feel welcome and cared for. If we ever come back to Zanzibar, we will definitely book there again.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at African Bungalows in Nungwi, Zanzibar. This cozy gem exceeded all my expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious, every meal was a treat! The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a lovely pool. And the hotel is just a one minute walk to the stunning beach. The rooms are clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfortable, I had the best sleep in a long time. Another standout feature is the generator so you never have to worry about power interruptions. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for relaxation with excellent food and service in Zanzibar, I highly recommend African Bungalows. I’ll definitely come back!

It is boutique hotel means you are saved from crowds, noise and can enjoy the view listening waves and bird singing only. I was in love with my room, all i wanted was there. Breakfast was delicious. Staff and owners are genioully welcoming and assist you in everything. I liked the fact that hotel is situated higher so you are not disturbed by passing by sellers. To swim you can walk a bit on low tide and enjoy swimming on sandy part. On high tide you can enjoy waves while sipping amazing fresh juices. Thanks Zanzi Soul family for beautiful stay. Would love to come back and stay more

The stay is very comfortable and staff is extremely friendly. They even added a special birthday cake when they realised it’s my birthday. Great service, very close to beaches and other attractions.

A special note to the security James that looked out for us the entire time. Also, if you want to have a truly local experience, we recommend the beach boy George for anything and everything you might need. They made our stay very special!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel for over a month, and it was truly one of the best in terms of quality service. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, making our experience even more enjoyable. The surroundings were breathtaking, and the room facilities, along with the cleanliness, exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar and wish them continued success!
