I had a wonderful stay at the Mar Ozo Hotel. The girls at reception were so nice, kind, and extremely helpful, which made check-in a very pleasant experience. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a really nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was always hot water available. I also appreciated the little details like water in the fridge and being well taken care of while waiting for the room to be ready. Overall, an excellent stay – highly recommended!

Good looking property with a good taste in design and attention to detail. Privacy, beautiful view from the lodge and a comfy bed. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and free fruits from the garden were left hanging on our door in the morning. The property is located on a hill giving it a peaceful vibe. We rented a motorbike which made moving on the island way easier, but the location was overall good!

Great community here, people really passionate about diving and it is contagious. Location is on quieter side of island in terms of partying however it is still very sociable with cafe, sunny and shaded areas to relax and a bar with great atmosphere - this is my personal preference so ideal. The beachfront view in the morning never got old. I extended my stay twice because the people were so nice to be around. I would love to come back for more diving too. Great value and exceeded my expectations.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The design is beautiful, we had everything we needed in our studio and it was just gorgeous. The surroundings are lovely and the hotel has lots of nice greenery and plants. The on-site cafe serves delicious breakfasts and pastries. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were really nice quality. Shower is powerful and the water is hot. A lovely touch is all the locally made soaps in the bathroom and kitchenette. The staff are very kind, helpful, and accomodating. They sent a list of recommendations for the island before we arrived which was really helpful. It was a perfect place to spend Christmas and we would absolutely come back to stay again without hesitation! We didn't want to leave! Something to be aware of (which wasn't an issue for us as we had a scooter) is that the hotel is set away from the main restaurants, beach, and nightlife. So if you want to be right in the middle of things or don't want to ride a scooter, it may not be the best location for you. However, there are nice restaurants and a 7/11 within easy walking distance, and Mae Haad beach is not far.

Very cute and clean room in the best spot in Koh Tao, right over the sand. On the street with bars and nice restaurant but still quite at night. The stuff was soooooo amazing, kind and sweet. They help you witv everything, washing, booking trips, renting bikes.

This hotel was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The location was ideal, in a quiet area but close to the beautiful Sairee beach, where there were many restaurants and bars. Great value for money as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great vacation.

    I really love this resort our room was a superior in traditional Thai style. The bed was so comfortable. Large balcony with table and chairs. The shower was awesome very fast and as hot as you need it. The room was very large with plenty of space. Kettle fridge and satellite TV with English movie channels. Free breakfast which was not bad at all. The resort is on the beach. The swimming pools of which there are 3 are great. 1 for children, one smallish round pool that looks to be deep I think for dive training as they also have a dive school. And the main pool which was large and also a jacuzzi pool. The gardens smell amazing with the aroma of the trees and flowers. You get 4 large towel's and 2 small in the room as well as a hairdryer, shampoo conditioner and more. The restaurant serves very nice western and Thai food and fabulous cocktails as well as the usual drinks and is overlooking the sea. The resort provides tickets for the ferry local trips they even arrange flights and more. Great location to get everywhere. They rent motorbikes that are brand new with good tyres etc for 250 baht per day and I would highly recommend using them. You definitely need a good bike for this island and also you have the security of knowing they won't try to say there are scratches etc and try to get money out of you. For the price this is definitely a place I will return too. A huge thanks to all the staff for making my boyfriends birthday very special.

    The Tarna Align Resort is a place that will make you feel like you are in a movie. It is located a bit further uphill from the busy parts bordering Sairee Beach in Koh Tao, which was perfect for us, since we wanted some peace and quiet. We reserved the rooms with pool access, which were absolutely fantastic. You open the door and you can jump right in. The pool is shared with two other rooms but it is spacious, so you will never feel crowded or limited in your privacy. Everything was clean and comfortable, the staff was exceptionally friendly and waking up to seeing palms swaying in the gentle breeze is something incomparable. Absolute recommendation! By the way, if you are into diving, the hotel offers diving courses, since they have a saltwater pool in which you can start your basic training. We did not take advantage of this, but many guests havce and it seemed like fun!

    The villa is amazing and the views are breathtaking. Best snorkelling spot with corals and lots of fish just in front of it. They provide a free shuttle service to the town and beaches to have dinner. The pick up time for returning is at 21, but could be an hour later. We were very happy about this service anyway. The stuff was attending and very helpful, spoke good english. We were loved our stay in the villa. It was the highlight of our stay in Thailand.

    All good! After reading the negative reviews I was a little worried but everything was ok. Localisation was good. Calm and quiet beach with a walking distance to the hustle and bustle of koh tao. Water front bungalow with private pool was worth the price. Yes it is a little bit old but if it was brand new the price would be twice as much. Pool was ok as well. Friendly staff.

    Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in...

    Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs. The locals are definitely trying to do all they can to save it. Brilliant food, amazing views and a fun island.

    We loved Koh Tao.

    We loved Koh Tao. Sairee beach is a great area but you can stay anywhere and still have access as it's such a small island. We took a boat trip out to the island for snorkelling which was fab. Don't book in advance. Go onto the beach and haggle with the locals to take you over as it works out so much cheaper especially if you are a family. Highly recommend breakfast at Mango Garden...go hungry!! All In all a beautiful island and great for families as not too crazy busy!

    I enjoyed Koh Tao.

    I enjoyed Koh Tao. It is bigger with many more shops and restaurants than I expected. It is clean. The swimming and snorkeling were fabulous. Exploring the cafes and restaurants up high in the mountains is well worth while. People are kind and friendly.
