- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 731 reviewsFrom the moment we arrived, Shantaa Resort enveloped us in a sense of tranquility and belonging. It was as if time slowed down, allowing us to truly unwind and embrace the beauty of Koh Kood. The staff's attentiveness was remarkable. Within minutes, they knew our names and room number, anticipating our needs without being intrusive. It was a delightful touch that made us feel like cherished guests. They even offered a late check-out before we could ask, understanding our desire to savor every moment. The on-site restaurant, with its breathtaking views, became our culinary haven. Each dish was a celebration of fresh, local ingredients, from the succulent seafood to the vibrant Thai specialties. The breakfast menu, a delightful departure from the usual buffet, ensured no food was wasted and catered to our individual preferences. Shantaa offered a wealth of activities, from kayaking and paddleboarding to snorkeling right off the resort's sandy beach. The calm, clear waters of the canal were perfect for beginners, and we found ourselves gliding effortlessly on paddleboards, surrounded by stunning scenery. The modern bungalows provided a comfortable and stylish retreat, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, creating an ambiance of relaxed elegance. Our stay at Shantaa was more than just a vacation; it was an escape into a world of serenity and romance. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and with a longing to return to this island paradise.Guest review byVitalyIsrael
- From £95.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 512 reviewsBrilliant. We were wowed from the moment we arrived. Staff couldn't do more if they wanted. Friendly, welcoming and on top of everything. From reception to waiters and cleaners. Rooms were plenty big enough, bathroom too. Outside beach area wonderful. Free use of kayaks which was great to explore. You can walk a fair way around the shore line to explore also. Nice and quiet and plenty of space for everyone. Koh Kood is a bit of a mission to get to but honestly worth it. If coming from Bangkok you can get bus (7hours I think) and then the ferry (1hour) you can also get a flight to Trat and then transport to pier and ferry. We flew back which was much less tiring. Reception can arrange transport if you wish it.Guest review byGeorgia VickeryAustralia
- From £228.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 101 reviewsThe whole day from start to finish was just wonderful. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The pool Villa was extremely comfortable and for us, it was preferable to a beach villa. It was easy to hire mopeds through the hotel. The beach and the sea were perfection. The fact that the resort is so small made the whole experience feel exclusive, and as if our comfort was a priority for the whole staff team. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant with lots of choice and great coffee! It was also easy to arrange onward travel through the hotel. We would absolutely definitely return, the whole stay was wonderful.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 253 reviewsThe location of Koh Kood Beach Resort is perfect if you want to really relax. The pool was perfect for the children and so quite, they had it to themselves a lot of the time. We had a double Villa with plunge pool, this was perfect for a family of four with two older kids. The staff were exceptional, so kind and so friendly. The food was lovely and the sunsets were incredible! To get the most out of the island you really need to be happy to ride a moped, we did not do this as weren’t happy having kids on the back. The resort were happy to order a taxi where ever you wanted to go but this could get expensive.Guest review byLouisaUnited Kingdom
- From £457.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 709 reviewsEverything! The staff are amazing, they make you feel like family. The location is breathtaking, its like being in the middle of a rainforrest but at the beach, the sounds of the birds and the rain it was amazing. Also very handy shop nearby. The food was the best Ive ever experienced in any hotel. In addition to High Season staff, every other person I met on Koh Kood was so kind, friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful community.Guest review bySiobhanIreland
- From £274.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 71 reviewsWe stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. Before our stay, I emailed the hotel to ensure they had vegan food. Upon arrival, we were pleased to know that they had purchased vegan products and veganised a few items on their menu for us. They have amazing pad Thai, curries, and fried rice. The hotel itself is lovely and has a beautiful beach and pool. The staff are very friendly.Guest review byDavidSingapore
- From £137.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 144 reviewsService and staff are very very very caring, attentive, supportive, kind and friendly. Peter Pan is a resort which really cares their guest. For example, we went to Khongchao waterfall one day during our stay, for the path is dangerous and we have 8 kids, they sent 3 staff as our safe guards, which is truly amazing. I love this hotel!!!Guest review byZhenhuaChina
- From £169.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 413 reviewsThe resort itself is built perfectly and the tropical villa we stayed was amazing. The beach is so private you can enjoy the sand. We were afraid to swim at its beach cause they had a jellyfish sign. Apart from that its not easy to walk to attractions you need a vehicle.Guest review bySebla Kaplan ÜreTurkey

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem.
Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem. The tropical beaches have crystal clear water and there are some great snorkeling spots if you look hard enough. Make sure you get down to The Fisherman Hut and mention Whimsical Tricycle to the owner, Tom. He will know what you mean. Enjoy! But keep it secret. Keep it safe.Guest review bykieranbutler70Australia - 10.0
We already went twice.
We already went twice. It is my favourite island in Thailand. Easy to reach from Bangkok and very good value! Most beautiful nature and quiet. An adventure to bike around the island. Excellent seafood!Guest review byMarleneAustria - 10.0
Koh Kood was absolutely stunning.
Koh Kood was absolutely stunning. The beaches are beautiful, very peaceful, and not crowded like other islands. It’s a true gem in the otherwise quite touristy Thailand. The island has retained its charm and natural beauty. The only downside was the presence of many sandflies on the beaches. Their bites can be bothersome, but fortunately, they do not transmit any diseases.Guest review bySabineGermany
