The room has a private bathroom that is clean. The balcony offers a lovely view, which we really enjoyed. The location is convenient, with a small supermarket nearby, and if you need a larger store like Lidl, you can drive to the nearby town. There’s a great children's playground and a grilling area with sofas, cozy blankets for the evening, and good lighting. The grill is gas-powered, so no need to buy charcoal — gas is provided for free, which is very convenient. While the room doesn’t have its own kitchen, there are two shared kitchens available: one on the lower floor, right in the dining area, and another on the upper floor. Both kitchens are fully equipped with everything you might need, including a refrigerator,stovetop, and all the necessary dishes. Microwave is on the upper floor. Stary Smokovec is a lovely small town along the Electricka.
Stary Smokovec is a lovely small town along the Electricka. Its clean, quiet and lovely. It is a perfect starting point for Slavskovksy Stit hike or through Hrebienok you can have Teryho Chata, Priecna veza, Zbojnicka chata trip within a day. For a post-hike refuel, i warmly suggest to have a Gazda burger in Pizza and Burger Vana. They have a several comfortable seats outside, its quick and tasty. The place is just beautifull, mountains are greal I love it in different time of the year. Transport is great however if you are paying for cable cars it can get expensive but simillary you will pay the price in different countries. Nova Lesna is The Perfect Place to stay when you want to visit the High Tatras. It is close, it has great value for money and has some really beautiful places to stay at with spectacular view. I have been here twice so far but definitely will come back every time we want to go hiking in these beautiful mountains. My 3rd time in High Tatra' and decided to stay for a month...
My 3rd time in High Tatra' and decided to stay for a month this time and loving it! Too many peeks to climb 😉. Very well marked trails with beautiful nature. Plenty of high peeks to climb although for some certified guide is required. And don't be fooled that the highest peeks are not as high as in the alps...it is very hard work and training is required to be able to climb them. It is a small village about 10 min by train from Poprad or Stary Smokovec where the mountains start. There are trains at least once an hour in each direction. Clean, very quiet and with a beautiful view of High Tatras. As it is a little village it is hard to find many shops and restaurants there. The nearest supermarkets are Billa and Kaufland near the Poprad station. There is a nice local vine shop in the village and a slovak cuisine krčma (tavern).Guest review byAndrewUkraine - 10.0

Good starting point for trips to Strbske pleso, Tatranska Lomnica or Hrebienok. I like the dark beer at the tram station buffet. I always have lunch in Bistro Smokovec in the main street, it's a cafeteria style, but very good choice and delicious dishes.Guest review byPetrCzech Republic - 10.0

Beautiful area especially in early June (15-30) when it's not overrun by tourists. Great for families and larger groups with many activities for each generation.
