A surf lodge hosted by a long time established surf shop in Siargao - you know you're going to have the best time. Has everything you need. Clean, spacious, beautiful surroundings, nestled inside a very quiet local neighbourhood away from the main road. The BEST thing about Fat Lips are the team that runs the place. Tim, the owner, is super knowledgeable and accommodating, and always out there surfing with me. Always good to yarn about anything and readily takes on any requirements or suggestions. Buboy, the lodge manager, welcomed me into the lodge and it was just amazing to be able to chat so freely and immediately he wanted to take me out surfing. We went on many surf sessions together, essentially being my guide! The team really made my trip amazing, I can't wait to come back! Stay here if you're in Siargao.

Mitch and Reese were the best hosts! We cannot say enough good things about them. They're super professional and handled all of our requests, bookings, transport, questions, recommendations etc with ease! You can tell they take your stay seriously. The dogs George and Coco are soo sweet. The rooms were large with great A/C and spotless! Great water pressure. Awesome wifi. Really good coffee in the morning. Location is a short moto ride from GL proper so nice and quiet. New Motos for rent. Loved it! Would definitely go back.

Oh the vacation that we very much needed happened thanks to Alex and his beautiful resort. The place is so peaceful and magical, the food is amazing and the rooms are so nice and welcoming. The rooms are located just a few steps from the beach, and the experience of waking up with the sounds of the waves and rainbows was to die for. Wish we had more days. We went in the low season apparently and the vibe was so enchanting and peaceful, not to mention the sauna and the infinity pool. Alex is the most fun loving man we have met in the Philippines with beautiful energy that takes care of his guests as though they were hie close friends. I dream of coming back there again.

The location was great, and the place exceeded me and my family’s expectations (booked two rooms)! Beautiful and serene (and green!), behind the hustle and bustle of General Luna. Close to restaurants and bars, and easy to call a tricycle once you step out on the main road. The staff at Palaka Staff were so friendly, they really made us feel at home. We booked surf lessons and the Manager kindly arranged a late check-out for us so that we can fully experience our last day on the island! I will definitely recommend :) thank you for a lovely stay!!

    There's really nothing to complain about this place, everything about it is great and I believe you cannot find any structure which looks the same with the same price tag. We also had the chance to chat a little with the owner who has lived a really adventurous life and has plenty of great stories to tell, I really hope to resemble him, even a little, when (and if) I grow old myself. Thank you Khan and thank you to all the people in the staff who were really kind and super accomodating with all of our requests

    they were a lifesaver during the power outage. the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. all of them made made sure we had a lovely stay. they prepared a romantic dinner set up for my partner and I for our anniversary and it was beautiful. it has a peaceful vibe and the breakfast was also delicious. the pool was a nice temperature and it has a great location in general luna.

    One of the friendliest places in Earth. Great beaches and even greater good. Tuk tuks and trikes will take you anywhere for next to nothing and the town is walkable. Live music at dozens of cafes, restaurants and bars with Filipino Reggae being da 💣

    Nothing much but surfing. Some popular restaurants are hype. The French bakery near the Surf area serves really really good breadz croissants, sourdough and other food. The burger place we went to is much much better than shake shack. The coffee place we tried serves much much better coffee than starbucks and zus.

    At first I kinda did not like the way going to the exact place, but when we found out the other way/easiest way, we felt relieved. The owner was very accommodating and also the in-charge cum reservation/receptionist, she was very kind and helpful, she had given us all the information regarding the places where we should go and enjoy. It was a very short stay but a worthy one, very affordable and family friendly homestay.

    Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao.

    Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao. It's a lot more peaceful than down south but there are beautiful and much les crowded places to explore. There's good 4G signal so you can stay connected but just travelling 15 minutes further north and you're totally off grid which is great. Easy to get to Secret Spot and Tangbo beach for surfing, Alegria beach for tanning and swimming, Tak Tak falls for cooling off in the heat, Kolekbibo, Lokal Hub and Izustarri for tasty food/drinks and lovely views!

    I was too early for good waves, but is an amazing place! The island is so beautiful, the people is great! Is a really save place and friendly. Local vendors do not bother you. Lot of traffic, but good vibes all the time! Love Siargao

    Dapa was not our destination just a pass through.

    Dapa was not our destination just a pass through. I stayed at Club Tara Near Sohoton Cove. The reason for the overnight stay in Dapa was because the PAL flight landed after the last ferry from Dapa to Socorro. Remember to research the ferry times for Dapa to Socorro. Do not pay P 5k from Dapa for a ferry. This is a scam. This review is from April 2022 and the area was hit with a typhoon in December 2021 and is opening back up after the pandemic.

    Surigao is recovering from damage caused by typhoon Odette. I suggest waiting a year or so before visiting here. It was rainy and windy during our visit so not fair to comment. Did not feel safe to walk around at night. We observed many blatant drug users along the Seawall opposite our hotel.

    I had a problem with the booking because Alexias hostel there are 2 units. One in El Nido and other in Siagao. When we booked to Siagao as a mistake but we stayed at El Nido unit. So I can talk about Alexias El Nido: You that read my review, should meet this place when you come to El Nido, even to take some beer or a te or a cofe in the sunset. The hostel is open to receive you just to chill with the view. The place is amazing! Need be discovered

    We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets. I would not return for the beaches or areas, but would for the surfing.
