Other options we considered were far from the “center” what would make it more tiring to move around to restaurants and shops. We were concerned it would be noisy and crowded but for our surprise it was very calm and relaxing. Everything was great, from the rooms (ac, showers, bed, decoration etc) to the swimming pool and chairs outside. If you are interested in surfing, check out Surf Dojo. Carmelo and the guys are the best teachers and chillest dudes in town. Definitely worth a visit.
Definitely worth a visit. Off the beaten path, but great waves for surfing and excellent food and restaurants. If you want a break from the surf beach La Playita resort (just over the hill/down the road from town) has a protected cove with crystal clear waters and white powder sand. Lots of fun things to do without lots of driving. Venado beach is fantastic. Coucoucrazy good craft beer, great food. Local expats are friendly and share information freely. it's like turning the clock of time back...everyone waves and goes at a slower pace... if you're a light sleeper take a noise maker or ear plugs there's plenty of roosters in the town it's a small farming Village...if you need big City activities and action this is not the place for you..if you would enjoy a quiet get away with everyone friendly but minding their own business in a sleepy little town this is the place for you!Guest review byLes R.United States - 10.0
