Fantastic well maintained property. A good host. She was very organized. I liked the very funny and cheeky neighbours cat who likes to visit the house.

It is undescrabable how happy we were, that we found this place! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! So sad, that we had only 1 night there.
It is a small family-farm-hotel, where you gonna feel as the most welcomed person, or even as a family member. The owners are super friendly, the area is so beautiful with all those flowers and trees, perfectly maintained. The house is the cutest! You have everything needed there, even a heated mattress, board games and all necessary info about New Zealand. The cutest ever breakfast gonna wait for you in the fridge. But the cherry on top of the cake - the alpacas! They are adorable and you can have a tour, where the owner gonna tell you everything about them, you can touch and feed them too. There is also a small shop on the territory, where you can buy the stuff they make from alpacas fur. That hotel was one of the highlight of our New Zealand trip and we gonna definitely come back next time we are in New Zealand.

All the facilities were impeccable. You don’t have to worry about the kitchen utensils or anything else.
Clean and tidy inside, staff were lovely. We’re just enjoying chatting with each other so much. They give me a map of Oxford which I can see somewhat we should try in the small town.
Overall, that was one of the most nicest backpackers ever!

Ohoka is a small place with friendly folk and the area in which I stayed. It's peaceful countryside with the occasional hawk or falcon to watch. Local produce and craft are both good. It's a nice peaceful place.

Easy to get to Christchurch and other surrounding towns of Kaiapoi and Rangiora. Some good eating establishments in Pegasus and surrounding areas with good variety. Cocoa Blacks and the School Collective great for breakfast/lunch. The Good Home at Pegasus and Five Stags in Rangiora good for evening meal. A number of golf courses nearby at Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Amberley and Pegasus and only a short drive to more courses in Christchurch.

Great area, very dry an warm in summer, also reasonably busy area but has plenty of great options, great place for familys and pet Friendly areas are very accommodating and welcoming, worth staying the extra day to explore around the area and enjoy what the area has to offer. We stayed at the rangiora eco holiday park with our dogs, it was really good, affordable and comfortable. Very easy area to navigate around and plentiful great food choices for those vaxed and non vaxed.

This is a great location for somewhere to stay if leaving Christchurch in the morning or if having arrived in Christchurch in the evening, but not wanting to stay in the city itself. It's about 15km out. Not a lot of eating choices in town - I couldn't eat at the only hotel because every table was in use and/or reserved (on a Wednesday evening) so had to go to the little strip of various takeaway places opposite, where there was plenty of choice

The district is easy to travel in, with several villages offering shopping, food and drink plus a petrol Station. Some great cafes and small restaurants in each village. It is a district close to Christchurch and is a great option for a country stay.
