The location was close to the town, and near the bus route. the manager Charlene was kind and willing to assist with transporting us back and forth to town, and to restaurants. She went beyond her duty to support us.

This is the hotel where you feel like at home from the first step. Elisabeth welcomed us with a glass of wine and some cheese. The room reminds the bedroom in the palace. Everything is in a very good taste and quality. Lovely small hotel. Biggest asset of this place is staff. Elisabeth takes care of you from entry till departure. VERY friendly staff who can provide you with all the information you want. We loved our sundeck for early morning sun. It is a perfect place from where you can hike parts of Queen Charlotte, explore the wineries, go to Havelock for mussels or hop on the Pelorus mailboat from there. Otherwise take the Picton mail boat! The cottage has everything you want, we loved our stay.
