The calm and serene ambience where one can slow down the mad race of life and reflect upon what lies in true meaning of process of life and not the instantly gratifying race which humanity seems to be racing to. Waking up by chirping of birds without the annoying clock alarm and looking at the green waterbody right from the bed. It is simply heavenly abode. I drove from Singapore to reflect upon the personal and professional journey having achieved a long term milestone to celebrate with family and I couldn’t have choosen a better place. The staff were super friendly. The chef took additional effort to cook indian cuisine for us for two nights dinner at a very very reasonable price. The food was so tasty that I ended up overeating. We did Archery, Paddle Boating, Kayaking, Coconut Bowling etc. There was a very large Kids Room where kids indulge in playing for hours without getting bored. The Spa and Message were great and oh man the Kimchi soup in breakfast was a killer. I have never taken a soup thrice in life which I did having stayed in many 5 star hotel across the globe. Kudos to the chefs. This property is perfect place for a personal retreat to find and discover onself in lap of nature. Enjoy sunrise, take morning walk, cycle, eScooting , Bird watching or simply appreciating the beautiful lake view in middle of jungle. Cannot get better. Will highly recommend and I am sure coming back again at the next available opportunity!

Outstanding rooms just like the last time when we stayed in Dec 2022. We booked the Shasta Suite. It had a huge master bedroom with spacious attached toilet with a full king-sized bed. Then there's a second room with a queen bed, and 2 very small rooms with single beds. Beds were super comfortable. Bathrooms were all equipped standing shower type, very clean. Spacious sitting area with 2 sets of 3-seater sofa with 1 single sofa and a modern 55" tv with YouTube/Netflix apps which worked a treat cos the wifi was very strong and fast. Wifi supported 5 phones with no issues at all. We had 6 adults and 4 little kids. Very comfortable and the kids loved running around the suite. Housekeeping was excellent and super prompt - my girl wasn't well and suddenly threw up while taking a nap and soiled our bed. The pair of ladies swiftly cleaned up and did a great job wiping down. There was no vomit smell thereafter. Food in The Lantern Chinese restaurant was really good and service was prompt and very good! We were very well-taken care of. Food in The Brasserie '85 was good but perhaps not as good at The Lantern. We really enjoyed our stay; it was a refreshing stay, no musty damp odours or weird sewage smells - the whole complex including the children's playgrounds were all very well-maintained.

What’s not to love? We love everything about this hotel. It is so clean, i even spotted the housekeepers mopping the floor of my next door room! Some of the hotels with bathtub, the bathtubs are not properly clean. But century pines bathtub is very clean that i allow my children to play in it. The room is very spacious. The staffs are friendly and attentive to our need. They saw us using our own towel as prayer mat, they gave a prayer mat (we didn’t ask for it) to us. Definitely worth for money.

My main concern during my stay there was the hangout spots, especially at night. Since we all know Kuantan is Negeri Darul Event, I purposely came on weekdays. There are a lot of cafes, and if you stay nearby or in Kuantan city, some of them are within walking distance. During my stay there, i fully depending on the public transport and grab obv. I managed to try some of the famous things like Kula Cakes, celup tepung and the “tourist beach.” I haven’t tried their truly authentic local food yet or fully experienced the nature and culture due to my short stay but I definitely will someday. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it for solo travelers.

Cameron Highlands was really nice — the weather was perfect, and it felt peaceful being away from the city noise. But weekends can be a nightmare: the market areas were packed, parking was a struggle, and traffic heading towards Brinchang was just terrible. Definitely a great escape, but try to go on a weekday if you want some peace.

Genting Island offers a thrilling escape with a mix of adventure, culture, and indulgence. The theme parks are the crown jewel—bursting with adrenaline-pumping rides and family-friendly attractions that keep the energy high. The cable car ride is a serene contrast, gliding above lush rainforest with panoramic views that feel almost cinematic. At the heart of the island’s spiritual charm lies the Chin Swee Chinese Temple, a peaceful sanctuary nestled in the clouds, rich with intricate carvings and cultural symbolism. For those craving retail therapy, the outlet mall delivers with top brands at discounted prices, while dining options range from sizzling street food to upscale international cuisine. Genting Island masterfully blends nature, entertainment, and tradition, making it a must-visit for thrill-seekers, culture lovers, and shopaholics alike. Whether you're chasing rollercoasters or quiet moments, this mountaintop retreat has something for every kind of traveler.

Brinchang is a pleasant town with locals and tourists in the midst. It has schools, a Chinese temple, a mosque, and a Hindu temple, offering a mix of culture and, most importantly, a variety of cuisines from the three primary cultures in Malaysia: Malays, Chinese, and Indians. It has easy access to the Boh Plantation in Sungai Palas, Kea Farm and is very near Tanah Rata. Each of these towns offers a unique blend of attractions to explore, and you will notice different vibes as the tourist demographics shift. There is also plenty of greenery in Brinchang, with forests, hills, and plantations. Hiking is a great way to experience Brinchang.

Cherating is a nice place to stay due to its beach, scenery, food and resorts, hotels nearby. But during peak season, u need to plan much earlier to avoid staying in discomfort resorts or old resorts or old hotel. You can find a good resort with nice environment and scenery if u have ample time to make a research or survey and surprisingly there are upcoming resorts which i am looking to stay but its fully occupied.
