The hotel is really nice throughout and surrounded by a tropical garden . The food was very good , breakfast was a bit restricted for non- Muslim guests as it was Ramadan but we were well provided for . We enjoyed everything about this hotel and thought it was excellent value both for the accommodation and restaurants and bars where the prices were very reasonable for this standard of hotel . The hotel has a free shuttle to the town of Victoria , we also got the hotel to call a Grab car to go around the island a bit , these are very reasonably priced and almost wherever you go the staff will call for the next one , it made getting around much easier than we expected . We came by Ferry from Brunei to Victoria , Labuan , the biggest problem here is finding the information as to Ferry schedules as they only publish them for a two week period , you can book online from Labuan to Serasa port Brunei but not when leaving Brunei so we just turned hoping there would be a ferry (there was) . It would be good if the Labuan Tourist authorities improved this lack of information as it must prevent some potential guests from travelling . We paid for a city view but appreciated being upgraded to a sea view room. Staff were outstanding. All were welcoming, courteous and helpful. Reception staff were superb including the wonderful male receptionist who continued to smile and help me throughout my varied requests for help with printing and laminating late in the evening before Remembrance Day service. On the day after the ceremony, 4 staff members (including one called Irrvilla) gave huge support to print and laminate biographies ready for next year's Labuan Remembrance Service. Nothing was too much trouble for them Daniel was really supportive in arranging transport to the terminal for us when a GRAB car was not available in enough time. He removed the stress of our inability to find a car by taking over and looking after all the arrangements for us. To be honest, i cant find anything that is more interesting...
To be honest, i cant find anything that is more interesting other than cheap beer, chocolate and excellent beach! Labuan does not have that is to offer me staying longer than 2 days. Its because Labuan does not have big malls, does not have proper travelling experience nor anything that give an interest for tourist. Except for having huge event or occasions. The town planner or Labuan Corporation have nothing to create in terms of tourist attractions! After the last visit to Labuan, I found that there are so many changes to the island. I am amazed to see their beaches are clean & well kept. There are plenty of recreational facilities eateries on the beach. It is definitely an ideal place for divers, snorkeling & swimming. There are facilities for campers, children playgrounds too. Labuan is an excellent stopover when traveling between Kota Kinabalu and Brunei or vice versa. It's a duty-free zone and the shopping is wonderful and cheaper too. The people are friendly, and the town area is great for walking and eating at the various local restaurants. The alcohol and chocolates from the duty-free shops are plentiful. I was there only 1 day/night but should have stayed longer to explore the beaches and other places of interest.Guest review byEarlUnited States
