- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 129 reviewsThere is no wonder why this resort is rated one of the top 10 resorts in the maldives year after year. It really is THE BEST in all aspects. Exceptional service and hospitality from Gili Lankanfushi from start to finish, we were greeted at the airport and swiftly swept away to our speed boat that was already waiting for us at the dock. Then we met the staff on the boat who were our first taste of Gili, the guys were lovely. We were lucky to be the only guests on the boat that morning and it felt like a private experience. The guys on the boat even slowed down to show us some dolphins on the way to Gili which was absolutely amazing. As soon as we arrived we were met by a couple of managers, a few staff members and our outstanding Mr Friday, Zubba. Every room is designated a “Mr Friday” inspired by the Robinson Crusoe movie. Zubba gave us a quick buggy tour of the island, and also checked us in to our room early. Here we opted for the over water villa and we weren’t disappointed, the views of the ocean from our deck were uninterrupted and the water was clean and full of exotic fish and baby sharks. The decor was very authentic castaway island vibes and just so beautiful. The hotel does not have a reception, Zubba explained that he was the reception and is available to us 24 hours for any and every request. After this Zubba left us to do our own thing which was much appreciated. In our past experience at a Maldivian resort the host pressured us to book activities and avoided us unless we had booked pricey excursions with her. But this was not the case with Zubba, we felt like we really had a friend here, he was always there when we needed, exceptionally fast replies and he sorted any issues we had with no complaints. At no point did we feel unwanted or annoying, as Zubba was insistent that we reach out to him whenever we needed him, whilst also giving us our freedom.Guest review byNarminaUnited Kingdom

Beautiful beaches, excellent food and drink options for breakfast lunch and dinner, a variety of activites and trips. Quiet and comfortable, bliss from start to finish. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We stayed in both the beachfront villas and the ocean villas and loved them both equally. Lots of fish and marine wildlife to see in beautiful clear waters. The staff went above and beyond. Very welcoming, friendly and attentive. A huge thankyou to MR ADAMS who was exceptional and looked after us from the moment we arrived, as well as MR SUNDAR who looked after us during our stay at the ocean villa. We could not recommend it more highly. Will be returning without question!Guest review byHarrisonUnited Arab Emirates

The gym and the workout lessons were fun for our boys and my husband, I enjoyed yoga very much. Snorkeling just meters away from our residence and we spotted sting rays, mantas, sea turtle and sharks. Simply na awesome place offering unique experiences. A special thanks to our lifestyle host Osamah, spa ladies Kerti and Trisia and all guys from the water sports centre. One of the most beautiful places in the world.
One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement. The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)! Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!). I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive! Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus. Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!Guest review byLaurenL97United Kingdom - 8.0

Airport help desk doesn't know anything about Himmafushi. It was tough to manage a boat to Himmafushi from the airport. However, the beach was nice. I enjoyed the scene of small fishes near around the beach.Guest review bySakibur RahmanBangladesh - 2.0

We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere. The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.Guest review byanitaGermany - 10.0
Small island, blue, turquoise, clean and clear water.
Small island, blue, turquoise, clean and clear water. Great place for snorkeling in the house coral reef. All the staff from reception to restaurants, dive center, housekeeping are so welcoming, all with bright smile. Food was top. Dinner was set course and of the highest quality. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. 5 stars to the chef in charge. Sunset spot was surreal. All the beach villas come with private beach, still can't get over the view. Wifi is a bit slow but not complaints since we were not there for the wifi.Guest review byAxelUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

Just stunning, white sand, turquise waters full of life and tropical fish, and palm trees. The ultimate relaxation! It was rather hot in February (32C but because if the humidity it felt more like 39C) and we got minimal rain. Highly recommended for this time of the year.Guest review byFay KUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Our stay at Meeru Island Resort was truly a wonderful experience, filled with unforgettable moments and warm hospitality. Their efforts truly brought the experience to life.Guest review byM WasimPakistan - 8.0
The beach is beautiful.
The beach is beautiful. I´m afraid it would be too crowded in a couple of years as the contruction of new buildings on the island is massive. Would be nice to remove the hakenkreuz that is sprayed on the wall in the harbor. Not a nice welcome sign for tourists.Guest review byZuzanaSlovakia
