From arrival, Shihab, the incredible owner, welcomed us warmly and ensured every detail of our trip was seamless. Whether it was arranging transfers, planning excursions, or adding thoughtful personal touches, his hospitality was outstanding. 🌿A Tranquil Garden Retreat🏡 True to its name, Bageechaa (meaning "Garden") is a beautiful oasis. The central garden creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for dining and unwinding. The modern, stylish design gives it an upmarket resort feel at an affordable price. 🚤 Easy Transfers & Convenient Location ✈️ Shihab arranged a speedboat transfer for us and personally picked us up from the harbour. Dharavandhoo also has its own airport, with 25-minute flights from Malé, making travel effortless. We took the speedboat in and flew back—both organised flawlessly by Shihab. 🌊A Paradise for Marine Lovers🐢🦈 The island is near Hanifaru Bay, where majestic manta rays gather seasonally, and close to a whale shark hotspot. Shihab organized amazing excursions—snorkelling, diving and sandbank trips—with trusted local providers. 🍽️Exceptional Dining👨‍🍳 Bageechaa’s in-house restaurant serves delicious, well-presented meals thanks to their talented chef Senaka. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Isla Retreat team for their exceptional and warm hospitality. Their dedication to creating a memorable experience was evident in every interaction, and we are already eagerly anticipating our next visit to this little paradise on earth. The rooms are stunning. They are not only aesthetically pleasing but also very well designed and very comfortable. Evening turn down service was an added bonus! The bathrooms are also equally stunning, clean and functional. Ismail and his team, especially Akoo, made my family and I feel very welcome. They both offered us great advice. The restaurant is another highlight and comes highly recommended. The food, including the desserts, were absolutely delicious. As a vegetarian, I greatly appreciated how the restaurant went above and beyond to cater to my dietary needs. As a family, we loved every moment spent at Isla Retreat. Highly recommended, cannot wait to return.

Lovely beachfront hotel, very welcoming and well maintained. The manager was incredibly helpful and truly cared about the guests, which made us feel at home. I enjoyed the full board option: the food was tasty, with a good variety for a small hotel. The staff, both in the restaurant and overall, were warm, friendly, and always happy to chat.

Clean and spacious room with a balcony. The breakfast was satisfying. The staff fulfills all requests regarding food or room. The activity list is quite extensive with various diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, island hopping options. We took a night snorkeling activity in the coral nursery and the experience was above my expectations (I would recommend it to anyone - children included). The use of torches with different wavelengths of light really brings a different perspective to coral. The distance from the accommodation to the beach is around 1 minute. What really made our stay outstanding was the host, Aani. She was there to show us around the island, answer our many, many questions, give explanations, take us shark and sting ray watching at the harbour, take us sting ray feeding, point out various plants and animals, present to us how betel leaf is supposed to be eaten, discuss various customs, she even helped us plan the next leg of our trip! She made us feel like family.

Afu, our captain and forever friend, has made our maldive experience special and warming. He has helped us with all possible trips and excursion at the island. The children loved him and his son was so cute. Very value for money.
