It was my first time there and my second time for my partner. It was perfect. We arrived in Hassilabied in the evening, our coach was delayed but Hassan was messaging us throughout our journey and was there to meet us when the coach finally arrived. We absolutely loved the location and our stay. There was dinner ready for us when we arrived, and the staff were friendly and caring, which was lovely and welcoming. We were supposed to stay for one night only but we decided to stay an extra night. The next morning, we had a delicious traditional breakfast on the terrace with the most beautiful view of the desert dunes. Absolutely breathtaking. During the day we relaxed by the pool, walked around the small village and had lovely conversations with the locals. In the evening we had an amazing dinner with so much food, including tajine and a perfect berber omelette. The internet connection was good and enabled us to watch the World Cup football match which was very exciting. We will definitely be coming back and staying there again. You walk out of Road, cross the road and 5 minute walk you’re in the dunes walking the Sahara - knowing your room in just across the r road!!! The staff were great. Hassan looked after me and the chef dude, Efan (sorry, I know I have your name wrong, my bad) was really great. Sorted anything we needed and was lovely to talk to. And the main dude Aussou was lovely to have a deeper conversation with. We were spoiled with the facilities - we had a kitchen and washing machine in our very large apartment. It was the most luxurious we’ve had on our journey across Morocco. So hot though, wish ac could go cooler. Pool was great. To be honest, we loved our stay here cause it was so easy and chilled. Lads will sort whatever you need or send you in right direction and ain’t looking for something in return. Got great STV quad bikes from dude next door a little down the road. We arrived at the cafe which was the meeting point for camp early afternoon. We were made to feel very welcome and were offered refreshments and towels for the use of the pool which was great as it was 45 degrees. We also had lunch while we waited until 7pm which was our pickup time. We were then driven to camp and welcomed again with tea and biscuits. Our tent was very comfortable and massive bed great shower a toilet and air conditioner which was great as it was so hot. We had a camel ride to the dunes. Dinner was also included and was very good. We also enjoyed entertainment with singing and drums. We also enjoyed breakfast and then the owner drove us back to the meeting point early as we had a long drive back to Marrakech. Nestled among the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, of all the desert camps we saw when doing activities. Merzouga Luxury Desert Camps had the very best location. The staff went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay in the Sahara Desert. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they answered our every question. They were extremely polite, welcoming and kind and made our stay memorable. All the activities we wanted to do such as camel trekking and Quad biking were right there at our finger tips and organised by the staff whenever we requested something. The camp was so peaceful and the ambience in the desert was surreal. Auberge Les Roches is perfectly located near the desert dunes. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly, always ready to help. I had a wonderful experience in Merzouga, but what I didn’t like were the fake guides who tried to stop us and sell us a terrible experience. Please avoid them and book everything through an authorized place, like a hotel.
