If you prefer some extra luxury on this part the country, then this is it. The place is new, very beautiful, calm and quiet. We stayed at one of the bungalows closest to the pool. You have easy access to the beach, make sure to get a glimpse of the Sunrise in the morning. Ask for the local breakfast. Don't worry about the portions, they have a fully equipped gym :) The staff are very friendly. They were about to open a new spa. Also try the newly opened cafe outside.

We had a fab time here, loved staying in a cute cabana which had all of the facilities - en suite and air con!! The location is fab, 4 mins walk to the nicest beach in Trinco, right round the corner to some lovely restaurants and a couple of grocery stores a min walk away! The owner was very helpful and organised a tuk tuk to the bus stop for us at a low price. Couldn’t fault this place at all!!

Staff was very attentive and eager to fulfill every wish we could possibly think of. Food was delicious, Bungalows and garden areal as well as the beach were amazing. Furthermore we fell in love with the small dog "Samba" who came and greated us whenever we stepped a foot our of our front door or came home from a daytrip :) One of the best coffees we had on Sri Lanka!

Great ocean front location, quiet and peaceful. very close to the boats to pigeon island. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to ensure we were confortable through out our stay. They even surprised us with dinner on the beach on our last night. The food was wonderful and make sure you try the crab curry!

Jay R is a newly renovated guesthouse; in fact, we were among its first guests. It's very clean, and guests have access to their rooms, a living room, and a large terrace (not yet ready, but it will be very soon). The host is very kind and helped us plan our travel arrangements. I stayed at this hotel, and it was an excellent choice! From the moment I arrived, the reception staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and professionalism. The room was brand new, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. It had two large double beds, which were perfect for a restful stay. The mattress was amazing – incredibly comfortable and supportive, one of the best I've slept on in a hotel. The modern décor and overall cleanliness made the atmosphere feel fresh and inviting. The bathroom was spotless and fully equipped with high-quality toiletries and a spacious shower. Everything felt well thought out and carefully maintained. I was really impressed by the level of cleanliness, comfort, and service. The hotel is also in a great location — quiet, but close to everything you might need. If you’re looking for a modern, clean, and very comfortable hotel, this one truly delivers. I’ll definitely return in the future!

    Stayed 2 nights at this lovely boutique resort, in a large, spacious and clean room with ocean view.. Had dinner first night and breakfast next 2 mornings and there were enough selection on the dinner menu and food was very good. Excellent breakfast both days. Great service and super friendly staff. The property was clean and well kept. Swimming pool was good size, clean and water was nice and warm. Overall loved everything about this resort and would definitely come back!

    One of a kind! Food was a major highlight: best breakfast with many options, dinner by the beach was wonderful too. Beach is calm and completely empty apart from hotel (beach is not as nice as neighboring Nilaveli but is still great). Lush green and open-air spaces make it super nice. Most friendly and attentive service. Room was excellently designed, spacious and very comfortable. It’s a relatively large place but never feels crowded.

Happy to look after baggage on the day of arrival and departure outside of check in and check out times. Lovely location , a clean pool , delicious food was also available .     This location was absolutely beautiful.

    This location was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to see and do and 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy the setting. Yes you can spend time at the beach and go snorkeling, but you can also visit the Thiruskoneswaram temple and eat delicious food on Sarvodaya Road. We highly recommend Rice 'n' Curry Restaurant. As well as The White House for Accommodation and Rangan Snorkeling

    I liked the small hotel we stayed in on the beach front (Mithra Paradise) and the semi-private beach. A real gem if you're looking for a quiet romantic place. Much better than the big faceless commercial hotels. I would recomemmend the small guest houses in the whole of SL for this reason as the service is exceptional and they are usually family-run so they put a lot of love and effort into pleasing their guests. No mosquitoes in July. Avoid the dolphin watching 'chasing' tours. Loads of boats making a big noise and running over the dolphins. Poor animals. You only glimpse them for a few seconds and the boat ride is hell on your back. Try the snorkelling instead.

    Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are amazing, lots of cultural things to do if you want, as well as lots of relaxation. Some great restaurants on the beach and in the town. The only draw back is it takes quite along time to get to (depending on where you are coming from) but that is the same across most of Sri Lanka

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places...

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places in Sri Lanka. After travelling around the island, we decided just to completely chill and not check out the other beaches. We will definitely go back again and check out a few of the other beaches along that coastline. Food is fantastic and the people are very friendly! When we read up about the island, they said that this was the less developed area, but as far as I could see it was the same as most other places. Definitely has everything you need and one of the best places to completely unwind.

    A much more peaceful beach holiday that at neighbouring Uppaveli, so if you want to get away from the crowds, it’s a perfect spot. The surrounding countryside looks beautiful too - I wish we’d have had more time to explore. We ate at Sara’s fish restaurant, where the seafood kottu & prawn curry were delicious.
