So, excellent sea views and harbor views! There is a beautiful paved coastal walkway just outside the hotel doors, which extends about 4km around the coast, making a great 8km walk/run/cycle round trip. Bikes can be rented at the nearby Kumho Tongyeong Marina Resort, or at Tongyeong Hiking, about 1km south down the coastal trail. There was tons of free parking and check-in was fast and efficient. We loved how there was both a CU convenience store and a bakery on site – great for lite meals and snacks, and a good alternative to the expensive restaurant. The king-size bed was super comfortable and the area was quiet enough that we could sleep with our balcony doors open. Loved the electronic toilet and there were internet TV options like Youtube and Netflix. We found the gym (free for guests) to be small but well equipped, with 2 treadmills and 2 bikes, all reasonably good quality. As for weights, there was a complete set of dumbbells, leg press, Smith rack (free weights), bench press machine, and adjustable bench – just enough gear for full body workouts.Guest review byDanNew Zealand

Within 500m there was a group of local restaurants to find food easily. There is also CU and hotel has fried chicken delivery making it very easy for guests to find food. There was tea prepared for guests when we arrived. The room was decent, hot water was available. Pls remember to prepare a swim suit or light clothing if you booked the Onsen, this is unlike Japanese Onsen where you will still need to be clothed even when soaking in the tub in your room. As we had the corner room, the scenery on the left was facing Jirisan, the bottom was a row of cherry trees and in the front there was the stream. The scenery was gorgeous. There is also a souvenir shop at the lobby and another one beside CU. The lady boss of the souvenir shop beside CU was very sweet and friendly. She did not know much English but she tried her best to find out what we were looking for even though we were just browsing in the store. There is also a beautiful river nearby where you can relax, cool down and read. If you ask a day in advance then you can get a nice Korean breakfast (vegan friendly!) as well as a lunchbox (see picture) if you want to go hiking. That being said: the host is really kind, helpful and speaks good English. He responded to all of my questions and was helping me a lot with organising my bus transfer to the accommodation as well as back to Seoul. Also he kindly dropped me of at the bus station so I did not need to walk the way with my heavy backpack. This place isn't for those who like the pace of Seoul. It's a very quiet area with beautiful natural surroundings. We came to see an island we had seen on a Korean variety show, so we knew what we were going in to. However, the next time we come to Korea we want to stay a few more days. I lived in Changwon for 2 years and this was my first visit since leaving. It is a small city but has plenty of food and nightlife options to keep busy and entertained. There are multiple large shops and centres which include cinemas and other entertainment venues. Changwon is close enough to enjoy day trips to Masan, Busan and Geoje without having to pay a fortune for hotels and deal with the extra traffic. I think Namhae is the most beautiful area in Korea. I enjoyed German town. I can't comment on the restaurants, but I would recommend Danke Schnitzel. The food was excellent. At the Deutsch Platz, and around most of the town, I found the beer to be overprices 30,000 is too expensive for a large can or bottle of beer. Tongyeong is a beautiful city with lots of walks in parks. The views from the top of the cable car are tremendous but the walk down was a bit treacherous because the first 500m of the stone paved path have been destroyed by weather. I would probably spend two days at Jinju as there was lots we did not have time to see. Tongyeong Skyline Luge.

The nature is luxurious and the landscapes are incredible. I only had foggy weather during my stay but it only added a very mysterious special vibe. It's a nice place for a short trip on foot. There is not a lot of public transport (at least where I was, in Wahyeon) but thanks to the scenic paths on the coast and in the mountains, you can visit the nearest attractions without a car. The south-east coast seemed like a very quiet and peaceful place to me, with some great touristic spots. Tongyeong is a charming little port city.
Tongyeong is a charming little port city. One of my favorites. It's beautiful with lots of dining options and attractions. I love the area around the port. It's a bit touristy, but if you dig a little you can find true gems. There's a great little artist area and even better, you can take a ferry to several wonderful islands off the coast.
