Our room looked better than it does in the pictures. It was very spacious and comfy, with all facilities - large bed, two closets, large bathroom and a nice little terrace. I especially liked that there were windows all around instead of walls (no worries about privacy though). Room was cleaned two times a day, they stocked the water every time which is a small but appreciated detail. They have security on site at all times and we felt safe enough that we didn't even lock our rooms. Location is another plus - right in front of the beach. The staff were amazing, very attentive throughout our stay, the owners are there most of the time and it really makes a difference. The food was great, we got full board and it was well worth it, you can order from the a la carte menu which is a very big plus. Sometimes waiting times for the food to arrive were a bit long but it was so good that we weren't bothered. Also you can order in advance if you want to have the food at a certain time. Small details that make a difference - water, coffee and tea, ice creams were available all day for free. The place was quiet and cosy, honestly we felt like we were at home for the week.

Staying at Babylon Gardens was exactly what I needed after four days of safari. Markus and all the staff are so kind, attentive, and lovely, making your stay at their accommodation a true oasis. The food is great, and the rooms are actually small apartments with a living area, an open kitchen, and a bedroom. The bedroom has air conditioning, and the bathroom is very spacious! You can swim in the pool whenever you need a refreshing break. Spacious apartments, AC, a swimming pool, great food, always cold beer, and the wonderful company of Markus and the staff, so what more could you ask for? Would I come back? If I travel to Diani again, absolutely! Vielen Dank, Markis! Bis nächstes Mal!

    - Basically everything - what a great time we had here. I will come back if I am again in Diani. - such helpful and attentive service staff, very friendly - they made us truly feel very welcome and helped us with every wish to feel so comfortable - wonderful beach, great riff to snorkle, possible to walk over to the riff at low tide, fun to swim at high tide, very clean - the buffet restaurant was amazing - the staff took great attention to keep the food warm and as fresh as possible on the buffet - it was truly my best hotel buffet experience so far (as I usually am picky on that and do not like such buffets - where usually everything tastes similar and is not freshly prepared or even half cold). I was surprised how good they cooked. They had a good mix of different stations with some food even freshly prepared and also allways some good choice of local specialities. Great meat and fish. - when something was missing on the buffet, they took care to bring it to our table - great cocktails at the bar and the restaurant as well - also good beach restaurant - funny monkeys (stealing from guests - but not too disturbing) - great Masai security - very friendly and helpful - making you feel always very comfortable and protecting you from Monkeys and beggars at the beach - afternoon tea time with cake - towels for the beach - everywhere they have lot of staff members to look for you and make you feel so comfortable - even at the beach you get served with drinks - evening dance shows for those who like it (was not bad - even though it is less of my taste) - come on your birthday: the staff allways sung so nicely and well for those who had a birthday at their table and brought a cake for them. That was so much fun and pleasure to watch.

The hotel was beautiful, great location right on the beach front generating the true African experience which is what I wanted. The check in was simple and easy process with everything self explanatory and the rules of the hotel were provided. the animation team were really good interacting with everyone - to be fair they had a tough audience especially when it came to the evening entertainment as people would have their dinner and then most would go to bed. I had an amazing time and wouldn't hesitate to come back again

We stayed for three days at Leopard Beach Resort and had an absolutely amazing time. The highlight was the free upgrade to a beautiful cliffside cottage with a breathtaking view of the sea—it truly made our stay extra special. The staff was incredibly polite, warm, and helpful, making us feel welcome at every step. The property is stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay here. Highly recommended for a peaceful and scenic getaway!

We stayed in a beachfront room for our honeymoon and loved it. It’s a lot quieter and more peaceful than Diani, with (almost) no beach boys. The staff were very friendly and we had a great massage in the spa. The food in the restaurant was fantastic - we stayed half-board but it is all a la carte and not a buffet. We also enjoyed a kayak trip, walking round the island at low tide and a morning of scuba diving.

    Perfect.

Perfect. I wrote a previous outstanding review but Booking.com only posted my two comments from “suggested improvements”, which were inconsequential but gave a negative impression. The property was lovely, steps from an amazing white sandy beach fringed with coconut palms. I loved lolling on the comfy cushions on the roof terrace in the evenings. Cecilia who looked after us was amazing and a great cook. Her fish curries were to die for. The bed was comfy and the mosquito nets a great asset. The community pool was well maintained with a fabulous on site masseuse, Habiba. Amazing relaxing vacation would highly recommend.

Diani beach is a great place to chill, relax, swim in warm ocean waters. Diani beach has a vibrant and eclectic nightlife , for those who want it. Getting around by tuk-tuk taxi is cheap and easy, the people are fab, But . . . don't go in May, or early June, it is very very rainy! December to March are best, Jan & Feb dryest by far. Enjoy.

Diani is a must see while visiting Kenya.

Diani is a must see while visiting Kenya. Just make sure you pick your dates well. We visited Diani in April which was the start of the raining season but it was hot. The dry season runs from August to December and I can only imagine how hot it can get. Many resorts don't have A/C but portable fans in rooms. It helps but the rooms are still hot. Bring insect repellent sprays as insects and mosquitoes are around. Plenty of activities to do. Wasani day trip is a must do, camel/horse rides along the beach, sunset in Congo river, glassboat rides, jet ski, kite surfing etc. Be ready to negotiate anything you buy as the locals have the tendency to overcharge foreigners. Also there is a small splash place for kids. It is not as big and elaborate as the big theme parks but it helps keep the kids busy and distracted.

Ukunda itself is full of different kind of problems, but if we specifically talk about Diani, situation is different. Seaview access hotels are in general above average except, Flamboyant, Safari Beach and Seabreeze of which have many issues. Pricing 80$ to 500$ US. Then in Galu beach lies horrible trap places like this ghastly Coconut Village with incompetent teenagers left as managers. The second strip hotels are passable with pricing 35$ to 120$, but usually lack service ability and professional staff. The beach is very beautiful, but people around hotels hustling bring the experience down even bad.
